Village Inn

In a word, Wow. So much to say here. We stayed this week with a need to be in Lynchburg. It is 10-15 minutes father then normal from Lynchburg. First off, the extra time was greeted by a lovely, clean, well done room with beautiful views and grass fields on the property. The front desk was amazing nice, clean, quiet and professional. I have read the word "dated" which is so inaccurate. It is a very retro style when motels were inspired by European styles. On top of that it has hand painted original artwork in the rooms. It had great views of the countryside (in the front & back). This is NOT a chain and is so much more then a chain it is amazing. Try Chicken Coop down the road for breakfast and meals (separate review) and you wont be disappointed.

Very inviting with reasonable rates. Rooms are comfy and the owner and staff are accommodating. Close proximity to Lovingston, stores, and restaurants. A great stay if you are wanting to explore the great outdoors, rivers, mountains, hiking, Schuyler, etc.

I stayed at this inn for one night and was very happy with its quality. The rooms and facility are very clean and orderly with a nice decor. The owners are very pleasant and provide top notch customer service. I would certainly return for a stay.

This may be the cleanest motel room I’ve ever stayed in. Every space of the room was perfectly clean. The furniture was modern, bed extremely comfortable. A nice peaceful place to stay. Staff was professional and eager to assist. I personally complimented the Housekeeping Staff on the standards at this motel. Would return again.

This is the ONLY hotel/motel in this little town but it is family owned and the owners are super friendly. It's not the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, but, for what you pay they are clean, comfortable and the owners and staf could not be friendlier.

My family has been having our reunion for the last 20 years and this hotel is a true Gem to our trip! So sad this year everyone has beat me to booking the room! I will be hopefully crashing an aunties room! The village inn is our family. Clean, quiet, SAFE!!!!!!

Had a short business problem to take care of.the room was fine,clean, comfortable, I would stay there again, small Italian restaurant across which made getting meals was easy. I would stay there again.

Conveniently south of Lovingston, near the local shops and businesses, this was a pleasant, quiet business stay. Pretty much every expectation was met for a two-night stay. Do I have to say (and it was): clean, good internet, hot-hot water, small fridge & microwave, etc? The in-room frescos and the exterior trim paint was particularly charming. Alas, coffee was in the office - shouldn't complain too much - as there were enough places for coffee and breakfast a short drive away. I'm happy to make the recommendation and I'd stay again when the time comes.

The VI was convenient, clean, and inexpensive. The staff was friendly, and the room was pleasantly arranged. Access to local wineries, Lovingston Winery and Pippin Hill Farm, was nice, and the Blue Ridge Parkway was easily accessible. AC unit was noisy--but no more than most individual units in higher priced motels.
