Sokdee Residence

This is a family run hotel and they really go out of their way to make it a good experience. The entire staff/family work very hard which explains why this place may be hard to book. The only negative I could find was that the pillows were overstuffed which wasn't good for my neck. The free breakfast was plentiful but not to my liking so I went to a coffee shop most mornings. This is not to say that the food wasn't of good quality, just my personal preference.

Back in 2022, it was my first time staying in Sokee Residence. Two years later, 2024. I came back to Luang Prabang again and Sokdee Residence is still the best choice because of the following reasons: I highly recommend visitors visiting Luang Prabang stay with Sok Dee Residence. To start off, the owner, Mr. Soulinda, is friendly, kind, and very helpful. He makes sure the guests staying there are well taken care of. Sok Dee also provides various breakfasts every day. During my stay with them, they offered breakfast from buffet, noodle soup to continental breakfast. The icing on the cake is the coffee they provide along with the breakfast, which is good quality with a proper coffee machine, not those 3-in-1 types. Besides that, the location is ideal. It is very close to Sisavangvong Road, probably just 2 minutes of walking. And 8 minutes of walking to Wat Xieng Thong. Generally speaking, it is a very good place to stay and good value for the money. I will definitely stay with them next time when I visit Luang Prabang again.

Хороший отель в азиатском стиле. Большой и чистый номер, хорошая деревянная мебель, раздельный санузел . Доброжелательный персонал.Уборка каждый день. Хорошие завтраки - можно выбрать из меню. Удобно расположен. Рядом много кафе и ночной рынок. Недалеко от отеля проходит церемония кормления монахов.

Ik had 2 nachten bij deze lieve familie ‘n kamer geboekt. De kamer was netjes en schoon. Voor de kamer was een zitje. De kamer lag in het centrum; alles was op loopafstand maar in de avond was het er heel stil. Ik ben een nacht langer gebleven omdat er geen treinkaartjes meer waren. Het hotel was vol maar toch had men nog een plekje voor mij. Ook hebben ze mij ontzettend geholpen om toch nog een treinkaartje te kunnen bemachtigen. De WiFi en wasservice waren perfect! Het ontbijt is eenvoudig; meer gericht op Aziatische gasten. Maar er is fruit, stokbrood en men bakte ‘n ei voor je als je dat wilt. Men bracht mij voor een redelijke prijs naar het treinstation. Kan het hier echt wel aanbevelen; bedankt voor alles en een knuffel voor pompom…
