Qiangsheng Farmhouse

I stayed here 1 night while visiting the Great wall. The owners speak a little bit of English and are very helpful. They offered to give me a ride back to the train station for a good price. Overall a pleasant experience

This place was the best after our long walk along the Great Wall. We started in Gubekiou and walked the wall until Jinshanling. The farmhouse was only about a 20 min walk from the entrance of the Great Wall which we were happy about. As soon as we walked up the owner ran up and welcomed us and showed us to our rooms. Each of our rooms had two small beds and a bathroom w a shower. Great value for your money. The family running it fed us delicious food for breakfast and dinner, were so welcoming and even helped us plan our next day hike. Would stay here again!

At the beginning it is hard for me to choose even the review is positive, but when I arrive and check in, I totally change my view. The surrounding is cozy, the room are clean with no cigarette odour even they provide ash tray in the room (suggest owner take away the ash tray and put a notice smoke at provider smoking area out side the premises), toilet are bright and water pressure is good (but hope the owner can make a little bit changes for the wiring system of the water heater), the food is tasty and size are too big for solo traveller (suggest to owner set a price for small size for not wasting food), the owner parents are friendly and always give the good service. At night, surrounding is quite and good to rest. it is a walking distance to Jing shang ling tourist center but if planning to do the sunrise walk the owner will provide a transfer service to the entrance at 330am. Overall it is a good choice to stay here.

What stands out at the Farmhouse is the staff and their willingness and commitment to helping each visitor. The rooms may be a bit sparse, but the location and the people more than make up for it. From driving you to where you need to be, to making sure your stay is as functional and comfortable possible, the owners and their staff know how to get things done. If you need a stay in this neighbourhood (and if you want to walk a lot this is a good idea) - stay here!

Great place to stay if you want to try to see sunrise or sunset at the Jinshangling section of the Great Wall. The family is super friendly, they made us vegetarian/vegan meals all for a reasonable price (there is not much else around). Sometimes we were a bit confused about what was happening but everything worked out in the end!

Very kind people and location is very convenient!
