The rooms are beautifully decorated, the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the sunny garden is exceptional. But the greatest thing about Villa San Donato is the host, Luca. He was incredibly helpful from the moment we contacted him about booking a room. He even helped us out on our last day and dropped us to the train station as some roads were closed due to a concert. The villa is a short walk from the city walls and extremely quiet and peaceful. Great value, would highly recommend!

Out of all the places we stayed in Italy, we enjoyed Lucca in Villa San Donato the most. The location is perfect - just outside the wall, easy walking distance to historic center of town. The house is really cute, with interesting and unique decorations. Breakfast is great, particularly when enjoyed in the lovely gardens. The host, Luca, is very accommodating, and goes out of his way to be helpful (including picking us up at the train station at an inconvenient time after our car broke down and we arrived late). The rooms are small, but comfortable. We were initially concerned it might be noisy at night because the rooms overlook the street, but it was very quiet. Highly recommend!

Amazing b&b and super host with Luca. Everything was perfect we had a great stay. Luca was so helpful with recommendations. And great breakfast every morning. Perfect location to be a little outside the walls. Will definitely be back one day soon!

We have stayed at Luca in Villa San Donato Bed and Breakfast for 5 nights. Really only BIG BIG congratulations to Luca who runs this place so efficiently... excellent breakfast, lovely rooms and all the house decorated with such a good taste .,. flowers, candles, perfumes .... you feel really at your home in Tuscany region... you can fully enjoy there. Thanks Luca for your excellent service and help during all our stay at your beautiful Bed and Breakfast. Wish you the best for your future guests! Arrividerci Luca, ci vediamo prossima volta a Lucca. B&B was extremely convenient for walking into Lucca and offered free onsite parking. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a nice balcony and garden area for guests to enjoy. Luca was very helpful to ensure you made the most of your visit and provides a nice breakfast each morning. Even prior to the visit, he communicated suggestions for restaurant bookings and provided detailed directions to ensure you could easily find the parking.

We stayed for two nights in Lucca and Villa San Donato B&B. I surely can recommend this place. The place was clean and beautifully decorated inside. The garden also was amazing. What a peaceful place to stay. The host Luca helped in everything and was very kind. He even picked us up from the station and drove us to the bus when we left. We needed gluten free breakfast and the selection was very good! All went perfectly. Thank you!

Struttura davvero accogliente e a pochi passi dal centro storico di Lucca. Oltre alla location, siamo rimasti colpiti dalla calorosa accoglienza di Luca, il proprietario, e dalla sensazione di intimità e di "casa" che si percepisce in tutti gli ambienti. La colazione inclusa nella piccola saletta adibita è un più che abbiamo apprezzato. Abbiamo soggiornato una sola notte, e sicuramente avremo modo di ritornarvi con grande piacere. Grazie Luca!

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in occasione del Lucca Summer Festival e siamo stati piacevolmente colpiti dalla pulizia della struttura, dall’ottima colazione e dalla gentilezza dell’host che ci ha accolto dandoci consigli preziosi per visitare Lucca. Consiglio Villa San Donato anche per la vicinanza al centro della città…qualche minuto a piedi e siete già nel centro storico della bellissima Lucca.
