Villa Catelli B&B

We received a warm welcome from Celeste even though we arrived much earlier than planned, having journeyed from Montecatani Terme via bus & taxi. Our room was on the first floor and was excellent in all respects. Initially I couldn’t get our A/C to work correctly but Valerio quickly came to our rescue, giving me the necessary “driving” instructions. It was fine thereafter. Celeste handed over pre-prepared maps to each of us, showing entry into Lucca, typical routes around and locations of favourite restaurants & gelateria indicated. It was a great help. Breakfasts were very good and tasty and we especially liked the scrambled egg…..for us a “must have” each morning. We thought the villa perfectly located, just 5 minutes outside the city walls. We also loved the outdoor garden area, finishing off each day sitting out there with a glass of red reviewing our day & planning the next …a lovely finish to each day. Helen and I also enjoyed our early morning strolls, and by turning right or following the canal away from Lucca quickly found other small communities - church, cafés & a restaurant. Given more time we may have eaten there one evening. At the end of our stay Celeste sorted our Trenitalia tickets to Pisa Aeroporto & printed them off for us – a brilliant service. We can’t speak highly enough of Villa Catelli, Celeste & Valerio & will definitely stay there again when returning to Lucca.

Our favourite B&B during our 10 days in Tuscany, great location, lovely host, tasty breakfast. We would love to come again and stay a bit longer as we only had 1 night. Bed and pillows really comfortable.

We have stayed elsewhere in Lucca before but this place will be our regular stopover in future - for sure. It is friendly, well located, (easy to find) clean, quiet, tidy and efficient - with a good breakfast! What more could you want? There is secure off street parking, well thought out rooms and easy secure late evening access. Thoroughly 100% recommended.

Stay in Lucca with touch of class We stayed at the Villa Catelli B&b in Lucca in January 2023. We had a warm and informative welcome and the house is beautiful. All the rooms are tastefully decorated in a modern but traditional style .Professionally managed by friendly helpful owners . Breakfast was tasty and lots of homemade options available . Excellent value for money and perfectly located just outside the city wall ,ten minute walk to the shops and attractions and easy access by bus . Perfect place to stay when visiting this beautiful town .

Perfect in every way. Service was outstanding. Waited to greet us despite our flight delay, lots of helpful tips, nothing was too much for the owner. Room was clean and comfortable and had air con. Welcome drink of Asti and biscotti in our room. Lovely en suite. Very close to the city wall, nice gentle stroll into the city walls, umbrella provided and bikes. Security is excellent with front gate locked as well as front door. Plenty of off street parking behind the locked gates. Breakfast plentiful and prepared to order.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Catelli and cannot recommend it highly enough. Celeste is the perfect host- she has worked at 5 star hotels in London and it shows- nothing was too much trouble. Our flight was delayed so we arrived quite late at night but never made to feel like this was an inconvenience. The b&b is immaculate- the building is a beautiful old villa and it has lovely outdoor space. Rooms are beautiful and the shower was great- also appreciated the toiletries being provided. It’s about a 3 minute walk to the city gate so location is perfect but as it’s not within the city walls it has the added advantage of plentiful free parking which was especially appreciated after our late arrival! Breakfast was lovely- loads of options including home made speciality cakes and pastries. There are bikes that you can just help yourself to and I’d highly recommend cycling round the city walls. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Lucca and would recommend you do the same!

Abbiamo soggiornato piacevolmente a Lucca dal 7 al 17 agosto con la mia famiglia x una vacanza presso Villa Catelli, storica struttura, pulitissima e con tutti i confort, ben arredata, accoglienza calorosa ma discreta. Colazione variegata e abbondante, personale squisito x consigli e informazioni. Punto strategico situato appena fuori le mura cosi'da poter visitare a piedi la città ed anche i dintorni. Altro punto di forza è il parcheggio privato e gratuito che a Lucca nn è affatto scontato,dove, qualora ci fosse è molto costoso. Sicuramente torneremo magari in compagnia di amici, la consiglio vivamente. M. Antonietta

Abbiamo soggiornato al B&B Villa Catelli a Lucca per 10 giorni con la famiglia e l'esperienza è stata davvero piacevole. La villa è “pulitissima** e offre un **parcheggio privato** molto comodo. Le camere sono **ampie** e ben arredate, garantendo un soggiorno confortevole. La **colazione abbondante** è stata uno dei punti forti, con una vasta scelta di prodotti freschi e deliziosi che ci hanno dato la giusta carica per iniziare la giornata. L'**accoglienza cordiale** dei proprietari ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa, sempre disponibili a fornire consigli e assistenza. La posizione della villa è ideale, situata **fuori le mura** ma comunque a breve distanza a piedi dal centro storico di Lucca. Questo ci ha permesso di esplorare la città senza dover utilizzare l'auto, godendo appieno delle bellezze locali. La connessione Wi-Fi è stata stabile e veloce, permettendoci di rimanere connessi senza problemi. Consigliamo vivamente il B&B Villa Catelli a chiunque cerchi un soggiorno confortevole e accogliente a Lucca. La combinazione di **pulizia**, **comodità**, **ospitalità** e **posizione strategica** rende questa struttura una scelta eccellente per famiglie e coppie.
