Cartier Mansion

Cartier Mansion is the best Bed and Breakfast my husband and I have stayed at. We have returned three times for weekend getaways to reconnect, because everything about it is a lovely experience. Jenna and Chris are outstanding hosts who are passionate about the history of the Cartier family and the mansion, and serving their guests. Jenna offers a welcome drink and snack, and offers a history lesson on the mansion and Cartier family. No pressure to join in, but I have enjoyed learning more each stay. She is also very knowledgeable about the area and offers suggestions for dining and activities. The rooms are very well done and you should see it decorated for Christmas! During a summer stay, one can enjoy sitting in one of the many outdoor spaces. The mansion is located close enough to town to walk and visit all of the quaint shops or the beach. Finally, each morning Chris and Jenna prepare a stellar breakfast. We always leave talking about when we might be able to visit again.

The dedication and hard work of the couple who own and manage this beautiful property is inspiring. We had a wonderful three-night stay at this beautifully maintained mansion. Everything we needed was at our fingertips or a short text away. The breakfasts were works of art. Highly recommend.

Great experience. Very friendly hosts with lots of history associated with the property. Very responsive to any questions. Clean room, comfortable bed, fire ring in back of property. Breakfast was amazing. We'll be back. Convenient to downtown.

Jenna and Chris have provided an excellent experience for our Ludington visit. Our lovely room was prepared in a very timely manner, all arrival instructions are very clear, their communication process leaves no missing information or questions unanswered. Each space in the mansion is exactly as it appears in the photos and the beds are very VERY comfortable. Thank you.

My only recommendation is allow plenty of time to enjoy the mansion. We arrived in town after 8pm and had to leave by 8am to catch the ferry so we didn't get to savor all the details that have gone into making this place MAGNIFICENT. Our room was so nice (cottage room), and everything we needed was right there. I loved the monogramed chocolates in our room, and the hallway with snacks. I hope to return sooner than later.
