Snyders Shoreline Inn

I would not recommend Snyder's Shoreline Inn. My wife and I plus one other couple stayed for the weekend in August, and the only positive thing going for this place is the location. The room felt like clean linens were put into a dirty room and they called it good. The tub was filthy, the floor was sandy, and there were lots of bugs in the bathroom. Then we overhead the housekeeper yelling at a another employee outside the room. The guy who checked us in was pleasant enough, but later when walking through the lobby, he was being berated by the same housekeeper from before. It was awkward and unprofessional for all involved. It's been a while since we visited Ludington and the Shoreline Inn last, but things have really gone downhill, and unfortunately, we won't be back.

Snyder's Shoreline Inn is amazing, the staff is so friendly and helpful. The Pool and hot tub is amazing and heated. We had breakfast at House of flavors, where they offer a buy one get one free coupon at check in. Rooms all redone and super clean. We will be back. Having the mini kitchen is awesome and they provide silverwear and wine opener.

The room was clean and had everything we needed. Check in was quick and easy. The pool was clean and so was the hot tub. Location was great. All of the employees were very nice. It was in walking distance to the beach and we could watch the S. S. Badger leave every morning and come back every evening from our balcony.

The floors in the room had hair all over like they weren’t swept. There was hair in the shower as well. The beds are not firm at all so we went home with sore backs. However, the employees are very friendly and more than happy to help. Pool was clean.

This place is terrible— from the lobby, down the hallway, all the way through the room. Especially for what they are charging. It’s like robbery. One of the worst places I have ever stayed. If it had not been so late when we arrived, I would never have stayed the night when I saw the room. It was that bad! I don’t even know where to begin with all the negatives. It appears to be very poorly managed. It looks fine on the outside, but the new paint did not get carried over to the inside. The interior is run down and shabby. All the doors to cleaning and janitorial closets in the hallways were left wide open to see disorganization, dirty sheets and towels laying around and basically unsanitary conditions. The “deluxe” room was so shabby. ( I cannot even imagine what a standard room looked like) All the walls were totally bare like they forgot to decorate and the furniture, sheets and pillows were pathetic. The bathroom was so tiny there was no room for anything. There was nowhere to put down any products you may need on the tiny sink area——not even one shelf to put toothpaste on. Everything in the room seemed unclean and there was a definite sour odor in the room. I could not get out of there fast enough! Do not stay there. And what a shame—-it’s in a prime location and could be a good place if totally redone from top to bottom.

I gave this hotel 2 stars for the view of Lake Michigan. The hotel is very dirty and in need of repair. Our balcony door did not lock so we had to rig something to feel safe. We had leftover beers in our refrigerator when we arrived . . I guess from the last guests. Could have been a positive or a negative but I'd prefer a clean refrigerator. I'm 6'2" and hard a hard time taking a shower . . it was so small. Our bed was too firm. We had to stay here a few nights for a funeral in town so these things really bothered me by day 3. Would be fine for one night if you're not too picky.

My husband and I booked this hotel as part of an anniversary trip. We checked in and left within an hour. The room smelled of mold and set off my asthma. Hair on the bathroom floor. A black ring around the shower. Dead bugs everywhere. Lake view was actually a view of a parking lot where drunk guys were hanging out. I did not feel safe, even with the two deadbolts on the door. I don’t have high standards- we typically stay at Hampton Inn type hotels, nothing fancy. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone- especially females traveling. Ended up driving the 3 hours home versus staying the night.

I stayed at Snyders for 3 days this week. Booked a deluxe Queen at a good price. After sleeping 1 night, I took pics of unsanitary conditions to management & she (Billi) upgraded me to a 2 bedroom suite with balcony overlooking Lake Michigan. Sounds great right? Sadly this room was dirtier than the first. Sheets stained, pieces of bandaid in shower, toothpaste spit on the bath faucet, exhaust fan hasn’t been cleaned in mints/yrs, uncleaned spills in the fridge, platter in microwave crusted with food from previous guests, trash outside guest rooms left for several days- stinking & drawing flies. I did stay the length of my booking but bought cleaning supplies and a cheap set of sheets. It’s so sad. The location is perfect and it could be a true gem.

We just had a Fantastic time at Synder's for 3 days! We booked a suite on the 2 nd floor over-looking Lake Michigan and it was simply Beautiful! The Manager, Billie, is one Awesome lady and she made sure every thing was perfect! We will be back every year and Thanks to her---- maybe MORE!!!
