Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa recensioner

Stayed at the lodge as part of our Safari visit. Really enjoyed the facilities and the service was excellent. Joshua our waiter was very friendly and gave lots of help. Would definitely recommend a visit. I particularly enjoyed the World War 1 museum.

We arrived at Taita Hills Resort and Spa at 8:30 am, we were swept into a serene escape nestled within the breathtaking Taita Hills. The air was fresh, and the tranquility was unmatched. Victor welcomed us warmly, making check-in seamless and personalized. The spacious, ambient lobby—adorned with a fascinating World War II exhibit featuring relics, attire, and rich historical narratives—immediately sparked our curiosity. The culinary experience was nothing short of delightful. Each meal offered a new and sumptuous twist, catering to every palate. The conference facility was impeccably managed, thanks to Geoffrey’s attentive service and professionalism. Afternoons were spent unwinding by the pool, its warm waters offering the perfect view of the rolling hills beyond. The rooms, naturally designed and immaculately maintained, offered a peaceful retreat each night. Encircled by a conservancy, the hotel provided unforgettable encounters with wildlife. A night visit to the Taita Salt Lick offered a magical view of waterbucks and antelopes grazing under the moonlight. Our stay concluded on a heartwarming note—staff serenading us with farewell songs led by Jonathan Mwanzui and presenting a thoughtful goodbye cake. It was a gesture that truly captured the spirit of Taita Hills Resort: authentic, warm, and unforgettable. I can’t wait to return.

From the time we arrived to departing the hotel the service was excellent. A special thanks to Patterson and the two lovely ladies by the name of Josephine made our stay memorable. Our son was taken care off and they made sure we had everything we needed to make him comfortable. We will definitely come back again.

Everything was just good, from; The Service, To the Food and Especially the Hospitality. It was also educational with the World War One museum which gave a short but detailed information on the events. Since we were on our honeymoon they prepared the room perfectly for us with an amazing view of the pool side with the jungle. Spacious room and cosy bathroom. All in all everything was on point.

The resort was very comfortable with stunning balcony views of the bush and a charming safari theme throughout! The lobby was expansive and included a mini WWI museum and artisan gift shop. Well-run, wonderfully staffed restaurant (shout out to Isaac!). Rooms have strong fans, no A/C. I recommend planning a shuttle to the sister hotel, Salt Lick, for breakfast or lunch, to see elephants up close. A great stay overall — asante sana!

Very friendly and peaceful environment. Liked the infinity pool. Superb service. The best place to be during Christmas season. A place to be with a game park, nice roads for self drive. Liked their food too. Best holiday resort and game park before you get to Mombasa.

3 days and 2 nights went too fast but we had a GREAT time. One night at Saltlick and another one at Taita Hills. The rooms were comfortable with the fluffiest pillows. The staff are amazing, cheerful and happy to assist. The pizza at Taita Hills was amazing. Thank you Josiah for recommending.

Had an incredible stay at both Taita Hills and Salt Lick lodge with my friends. We were well fed, the rooms were extremely comfortable, are staff were amazing! Oh my, will certainly come back with my family. I’m very very happy overall with all!

We loved the food. RAMVEER The chef was so amazing with special food. The staffs were so friendly especially Patterson, Cathy. .the head chef Fred Winnie from Animation team kids club was very engaging and Involving with our kids. The house keeping manager Janet made sure we were taken care well. We had good view of elephants and parliament of Baboons

We had a fantastic stay. The staff was amazing and went all the way to make our stay memorable.We were well received by Nicholas, the MOD, though we arrived very late in the morning and we were followed up Keziah, the manage. The food was wonderful and we were well served by Petersen and the other waiters. The chef was at hand with gluten-free food for my wife during all the meals. Staying in Taita Hills Resort won’t be complete without a game drive. Our drive/guide made it worthwhile. The only negative is the poor phone communication.

Dining services were good and our favourite staff was Christine at the restaurant ,she was funny,witty and friendly. Breakfast was our favourite. The gamedrive driver (Joseph) was very knowledgeable about the wildlife. However, they can do better with the rooms. The maindoor is split in half and you can accidentaly leave a top or bottom part open assuming you locked the door. Secondly ,the beds have bedside lamps that are awkwardly positioned in the middle of headboard , and protruding foward very dangerously . Regardless, the hotel view is so beautiful especially the garden,the infinity pool is amazing and the hotel is sorrounded by very beautiful trees with vibrant colors .

Our stay at Taita Hills Resort and Spa was absolutely amazing! The hotel is beautifully situated with stunning views of the surrounding nature. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the food was delicious with a great variety of options. A special thank you to Janet, who made our stay even more memorable. She is cheerful, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Janet was always ready to assist and made us feel truly welcome. Her professionalism and warmth added a special touch to our experience. We highly recommend this resort and look forward to returning in the future!
