Moask Youth Hostel (Liyumen Cross - street Store, Luoyang Old Town)

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in China. The facilities are good and clean, and the location is pretty good. The host is super friendly, and does an excellent job at creating a welcoming environment for all guests. He’s clearly very passionate about making it a good place to stay for travelers. It’s very social and easy to make friends, even as a foreigner. Definitely a proper hostel.

Very welcoming owner and place. Every night owner and guest were gathering to have talks and fun. I made more Chinese friends this 2 days than my last 3 weeks in China.

The owner is very helpful and welcome, the location is okay, only one bathroom for 8 girls so sometime the queue is long but overall an okay experience

Very helpful staff, welcoming and fun to hang out with. But confusing to get to (some Didi drivers struggle), but reasonable scooter or walk from the old town.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay in Luoyang and truly wished I could have stayed longer! On my first night, the host kindly invited me to a lovely barbecue with other guests. As a solo traveler and a foreigner not fluent in Chinese, I felt warmly welcomed, included, and genuinely cared for. The atmosphere was relaxed and heartwarming — it seems this hostel attracts kind, thoughtful people. Everything was spotless, and my bed was incredibly comfortable. Thank you again, uncle and all the guests, for your warmth and positive energy!

The hostel was in a good central location which is about 15 minutes’ walk from the nearest metro station & nearby to a big shopping mall. There’s a morning market & restaurants nearby too. The staff aka uncle was friendly even though he don't speak English. The room & bed was clean. I was invited to have a BBQ dinner that night which was a good ice breaker to meet all the guests. Do take note that there's only ONE Shared bathroom for the 8 beds dorm room which pretty inconvenience in my opinion.
