Château de Pintray

Anne is the consummate host offering a very comfortable French country-style experience in a 16th century manor house nestled in the center of award-winning vineyard grounds tended by her husband Jean Christophe. Perfectly located near many beautiful small villages, bustling market towns, and the two larger town of Tours and Amboise that offer markets, stylish shops, and fine restaurants to suit all tastes. Such all-around experience as Anne presents is unmatched anywhere and she does this all with laughter and a sparkling personality. We have stayed with her many times over the last 10 years and look forward to many stays in the coming years.

Outstanding. Centrally located to visit the chateaux of Loire. Close to Amboise. Owners are amazing. Rooms are large and spacious, beautifully furnished. Breakfast was delicious and substancial. Be sure to try their wine which was some of the best we tasted in France.

Our family (7 of us) went to Chateau de Pintray. We couldn't have had a better experience. The property is lovely and the vineyards are beautiful. We were charmed by our hostess Anne. Loved, loved, loved it!!!! There was a large family room that we took over at night, brought in charcuterie and enjoyed the Chateau's excellent wine. We enjoyed meeting a Swedish couple (Axel and Clara) who were also staying on their honeymoon and celebrated with them for 2 nights. Beds were comfortable. As in all places outside American hotels, there is no air conditioning but it cools off at night. Breakfast was fresh croissants, fruit, ham, cheese, yogurt, tea and coffee. Could not make a better recommendation for this Chateau. No elevator so book your room on the appropriate floor.

Fantastic place in the Loire valley We stayed for five nights and were amazed by the hospitality and service. It’s a fantastic mansion that produce their own wine. We got to have a wine tasting as well, which was very interesting. If you have a car or a bike, this is a must-stay place. Truly amazing!

A lovely place with a warm welcome We spent a very pleasant evening at Chateau de Pintray. The owner, Anne, is delightful and kindly booked dinner for us in an excellent restaurant nearby. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was substantial and delicious. Highly recommended, and if we visit this part of France again we would certainly stay here again.

Traditional French chateau stay, hosted by the family who run the vineyard and you can do a tasting. The chateau has been passed down through generations and you can read and talk to them about the history. There is a lovely shares lounge and terrace you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine with other guests or friends you are travelling with. Amboise is a short drive away for all the restaurants and attractions
