The prison, which was built in 1862, was rebuilt to the first prison Hotel in 1999. Young people from all over the world – from backpacker to businessman, stay in Jail. Mostly because of it’s great location in the heart of Lucerne and also to get the unique jail – experience. The Jailhotel has 56 cells, from the original „Unplugged“ cell to four comfortable suites. All rooms have their private bathroom with shower and are equipped basic. The “Unplugged” rooms also have a private shower which is not in the room itself but on the other side of the corridor. The reception is manned 24 hours. The Jailhotel - Team will help you with all your questions and concerns.
