We had a lovely family stay in the Crown hotel. Rooms and hotel clean, staff great, breakfasts were amazing. We ate here both nights and loved our food. Lynton is so interesting and the views are spectacular. I would definitely return to the Crown when back in the area.

Really friendly staff run this relaxed, spotlessly clean pub, restaurant and hotel. We had the deluxe family room which was spacious and well equipped. We ate in the pub restaurant both evenings and had really good food including great gluten free fish and chips which was very welcome after a big days walk. Great location in the old town with access to everything you need. Would stay and again. Thank you!

The pub attached to the hotel is tremendous little traditional bar. The staff are incredibly friendly, polite, and happy. The food is first class and the drinks prices very reasonable indeed. We didn't stay in the hotel, but visited the pub four or five times across the week we stayed in Lynton. Absolutely recommemded.

Stayed hear for 1 night. Very clean, very small TV. Very thin curtains, no blackout blinds light from the front yard was lit up. Kept me awake most of the night. The breakfast was excellent. Evening meal was good, Shout out for Lee. Sarah. & Rachel very welcoming, Free car parking but very tight Very picturesque walk to the seafront few shops & cafes. Would return

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, very good food, all ages of the family catered for. A good location in the village, best place for us to stay. It was another return visit for some of us, always a friendly welcome and a pleasant stay for all of us

Although we were staying at a nearby hotel on a half-board basis they had very few guests there most nights so they refunded our dinner charge and booked us into the Crown Hotel restaurant. We can only say how delighted we were with this arrangement. We were greeted like regulars and that friendly service continued for all of our visits. Food was exceptionally good and very good value. Indeed, we enjoyed everything about this traditional hotel so much that we have booked to stay in the hotel next year, changing our ten-year tradition of staying in our usual haunt.

Great food, fresh and flavourful, with friendly staff. Lovely pub, with a great atmosphere. Loved the bathroom decor. Ideally located, with a village feel with a good selection of drinks and food. Great attentive service brought by friendly staff.

We were staying elsewhere in Lynton just bed and breakfast so needed a evening meal. Saw the Crown Hotel and decided to have a meal. The staff were really nice and we had a table inside. My wife had vegetarian chilli and rice and I had scampi and chips. All good pub fare, but I have to say my meal was delicious and perfect. My wife enjoyed her chilli, though it was slightly watery. But that’s because it was a veggie version. But besides that we enjoyed our visit and would recommend the Crown Hotel. We looked in the hotel part later in the week and it looked nice.

This is a very friendly place, really happy friendly staff never too busy to chat. I enjoyed room five very quiet looking over the car park with views of a beautiful old tree, and a good bath with plenty of hot water. The room was well decorated and the whole hotel was spotless throughout. Rooms cleaned daily with generous restocking of coffees teas and milk. Very good cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Well stocked bar with 3 local beers on tap. The beer was well maintained an excellent pint every time. I really enjoyed the home cooking with lots of specials which change every day. I particularly enjoyed the liver and onions and the fish pie, the vegetarian masala was very good as well. Great centre for walking with the valley of the rocks accessed along the spectacular cliff path, and the walk down to Lynmouth the start of the three moors way and a walk down the river to Watersmeet and on to Brendon.
