Beautiful hotel on the island for a romantic weekend getaway! Our room was beautiful with a balcony overlooking the ferry depot! Quiet hotel with picturesque sunrise views. Walking distance to all things in the downtown island area!! Bikes are discounted and very convenient!!

Paid good money for a good lake view room & got a view of a storm drain, old ladder, & rental bikes.Front desk person told us well we are booked solid & since you booked through a third party site, you got that room. Needless to say, we are not happy. Employees did not seem adequately trained to work in a resort hotel. Much better choices on the island…I recommend passing on this place.

A "mezzanine" room sounds great. In reality it is an interior room with no natural light or air. The "window" overlooks the lobby and the lobby overlooks you. Drapes must remain closed. The room is extremely dark, dank. Very poor interior lighting . Did you travel to Mackinaw to feel like a vampire? Don't spend your money here, the downtown is only a few blocks, so the location plus is minimal. Management unable to accompany my request with a paid upgrade for a room with light and air. So disappointed I traveled from Florida to experience this Motel 6 claustrophobic, stuffy vibe.

Paid a premium for a balcony, it was courtyard view. Well coutyard is rusted luggage carts, lawnequipment, junk and spare table to look at. Plus a smelly horsebarn beside. No outdoor space to enjoy plenty of hotels with nice porches and green space to enjoy. They decided to make bicycle rental and repair thier lakeview.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel location is perfect - so close to the shuttle, restaurants, and shops. Our balcony room overlooked the street, however, we also had side views of the water, too! The hotel is gorgeous - everything looks brand new! Our room was well accommodated and the bed was very comfortable. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary, and the staff left us a cute hand drawn, handwritten note along with some fudge and a bottle of wine. The best surprise might have been the cute little bag of taffy on our doorknob when we came back after our day out and ability on the island. Very thoughtful - so many “little touches” that make a big difference! We definitely intend on coming back every year! Thank you for such a great experience!!

We booked online well in advance. The website gives you the first two rooms offered as atrium suites and are very misleading in what you actually get. It says that the room has a window facing the skylit atrium. In reality, this atrium is a shared lobby area with a fudge shop and a gift shop and you cannot open the curtains without staring at people. So there is no light… it’s a dimly lit room that smells of mildew due to no airflow. Our pillows smelled so badly we didn’t even sleep. We paid over $400 for a one star room that is shameful for Mackinac Island. We have stayed at their other property across the street with a different experience. They need to convert these few atrium rooms into another attraction and stop tricking guests into believing they are going to have a nice room and stay.

Very nice hotel. Rooms were great and service was speedy and helpful. Conveniently located in the center of town and right across the street from the ferry. We had great weather. Everything was easy to get to. Our motorcoach arrived early and the hotel was very accommodating in storing our bags until we could check-in at 3.

This was a good choice for our stay. Friendly staff. Great accommodations. Highly recommend them. Beds comfortable. We had a balcony room overlooking the ferry dock. Very good location in the heart of downtown and right next to Shepler Ferry.
