Lake View Hotel

We weren't sure how a classic style inn would hold up to our modern resort standards, but this hotel delivered! We loved the size of the bathroom, the bed and pillow options were the most comfortable on our trip. The kids loved the public balcony and we were in the pool everyday... a little chilly at first! The hotel offered hot apple cider on a cold rainy day and coffee each morning, although they were out before the 9:30 end time out. We loved the rocking chairs on the veranda and the staff and housekeepers were friendly, professional, and helpful! The hotel was close to everything and beautifully maintained. My only warning would be to let the porter know what ferry time you plan to return on so that they bring the bags over in time and you're not left waiting on the mainland. This didn't happen to us and we loved the porter, he was great... but it's safer to double check this before you leave on the last day. One other suggestion would be to have a little more signage outside to show where the ramp is. We will miss this beautifully simple island and if we return, we'd definitely stay there again.

Wonderful hotel! Great, Quick service! Wonderfully decorated rooms- actually the whole hotel was perfect. We had a Turret room and it was perfect for our family. Coffee could be better but that is true for most hotels. Can't wait to come again!

Great location, clean room, pool and hot tub use, and for a reasonable price! We had never stayed here but would stay here again. It is also close to Sheplers for ferry access which we liked too. I would recommend this to anyone. The art in the room was incredible, I have some pieces from the same artist. The bathroom was also large and easy to get ready in while sharing the space.

For some reason we were given an ADA accessible room so we had extra space which was very nice. Our room was tastefully decorated and so clean. The beds were comfortable. Our room was on the side street side so the noise level was minimal. We enjoyed peak fall colors!

Absolutely amazing!!! From the front porch to the lobby to our beautiful updated room. Everything was absolutely perfect. Staff was wonderful and friendly. We loved the fresh lemon and cucumber lime water in the lobby. Hotel was clean and we loved the ability to sit on the balcony overlooking the street. Can't wait to come back!

The hotel has new beautiful carpets, furniture, wallpaper, and decor. It’s all gorgeous from the lobby and up the stairs to our spacious turret room. The beds are supremely comfortable and room was impeccably clean. We appreciate the water fountain in pool area to fill our biking bottles. The lobby also has cups for cucumber and lemon water and morning coffee is provided until 9:30. The convenient location to the ferry dock was great as we were traveling with kids. The hotel is also close to Windermere Point offering beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset and the bridge and lighthouse. Loved the Lake View!

The hotel is beautiful and the room was lovely and spacious. It was updated beautifully. The staff is fabulous. We had a great stay. We will definitely be going back next year. It’s a relaxing place in a great location. The restaurants are close and so is the shopping.

We truly loved our experience. The room was comfortable, and the bed left us feeling very refreshed each morning. The covered porch was fantastic for my wife, who spent a lot of time knitting outside. Service was extremely friendly and the luggage porter service to/from the ferry was a godsend. We had a lake facing view, so every morning we had the most gorgeous view of the sunrise, and if a more convenient location exists in town, I don't know it. Overall, we had a fantastic visit and ate already planning to come back.

The remodeled room was great. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. We had a lakeview room and the view was great. We have stayed on this property before, and we'll stay again. The staff was professional and friendly. Bags arrived from the dock in a timely fashion and delivered to the dock on our return trip on the ferry. This is an excellent place to stay on the island.
