Best Western Plus Dockside Waterfront Inn

The accommodations met and exceeded our expectations. First and foremost the lady who called to confirm on check in day (Sep. 6th-8th) was able to get us a 3rd floor room with a balcony and 2 queen beds for our Honeymoon. The front desk staff was very friendly and informative, the linens and cleaning crew was great and the breakfast room worker CHAD was a great guy also. Our stay was a truly magical experience that we will remember forever

Sheets on both beds dirty. They did come and change them promptly. Room is dark and dated. Floor in our room did not look clean. Continental breakfast was overcooked- ham & pancakes were hard/ crunchy. Eggs overcooked as well. Pool water so cloudy you can’t see the bottom. Over priced for condition of property.

We had the most wonderful stay here. From the woman who took our last-minute reservation over the phone, to the attendant who checked us in, to the amazingly clean room that we encountered upon entering 319, thank you! Nickola, you made our room spotless and it was a pleasure to meet you, too! You were so kind and attentive to me when we crossed paths on our first morning. You are certainly a gem! This hotel is what I chose when my preferred hotel was booked. I’m so glad that it was as this is now my preferred hotel! I canny wait to return!!

Place is nasty beds have pee stains there are bugs in the room. The beach is all rocks. The only decent part was the breakfast. Also, the room is muggy and the bed feels wet and when we turned on the air conditioning it smelt terrible. The picture do not look anything like the hotel. There are spider webs everywhere and the sitting area on the top floor has bugs on it. The bathroom has mold in it and the shower is nasty. It looks like the maids don’t clean the rooms. It is so nasty I don’t even want to sleep in the bed. DO NOT COME HERE.

Please avoid at all costs. Check with the Chamber of Commerce (not chamber tourism) for alternatives. Run down, needs maintenance/repair updating everywhere. Travelled as a group, despite prebooking one did not get an accessible room. They felt it was a request, which are not guaranteed. But they failed to notify. Eventually it was rectified. Breakfast room only accessible from outside and use of stairs or long walk some in open, and elevator.2 microwaves in bfast room give an idea??? Urine stains on outside of my toilet at check in...4 nights and never cleaned. One of my group hospitalized and they failed to notify me. Electrical outlets/lamp not working.. Need I go on? This place 1 of 27 properties owned by 1 person who has a lakefront Mansion....they don't need your money..

The Best Western Dockside was the worst Best Western I have stayed in. The hotel is outdated and is in real need of upgrades. The room was musty and probably needed a deep cleaning. The towels were old and were rough. And there was a damn fly that did not want to leave our room and avoided being killed. The breakfast was something that was just thrown out there with the oatmeal being the highlight of the meal along with wheat toast. It pains me to write a review of this nature, I cannot and would not recommend this hotel. The only reason I gave a 2 rating was the water was hot and the room had a Keurig coffee maker, otherwise the rating would have been a 1.

I read the reviews on here which is what made me pick this hotel. What a bad choice. Other than the location & the view of the lake, this hotel is awful. Despite what I read here, these rooms are not kept up. The beds are horrendous and the decor is from the 60's. The front desk staff was rude (not just to us) when asked about the "fully stocked sundry" that was on the hotel amenities list in our room - news flash, there isn't one. Would never stay here again. We were told by a local that one family owns all the waterfront hotels & that they don't keep them up. Book elsewhere!

I am disappointed with their cancellation policy. I made a reservation in July to stay here, but I have had a family emergency occur and am not able to stay at the hotel. I called this morning after getting home from church and was told that I would still be charged for the stay. Seventy two hours is excessive for a cancellation in the case of an emergency. I recommend that you do not make a reservation with this hotel.

Hotel was very nice. Rooms were clean. Views were pretty. Breakfast was adequate. They had eggs, ham, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, toast, bagels, oatmeal, muffins, and juice. Fast check in and check out. Staff were okay. Front desk staff could smile some more but was okay experience. close to shuttle to Mackinac Island. Loved the pool and hot tub. Very clean. The only thing that I would recommend is that you take clothes to change into when using the pool or hot tub in the bathroom because it was freezing to walk back and forth to the room.
