Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa Coorg

We had a 7-night memorable sojourn in Taj Madikeri. It is an idyllic get away in scenic and verdant surroundings. Our stay was made particularly comfortable and memorable because of the dedicated staff of the resort who, through their eye for detail, micro-planning and an overall determination to give value and the best experience to each and every guest, ensured that all our needs were fulfilled in the shortest possible time. My wife and I would specifically like to highlight the contributions of the following members of the resort team: REBITA SINGHA, the Duty Manager of the property during a stay, was most knowledgeable, helpful & proactive in her attitude and offered many suggestions that enriched our 7-night stay. AROOPA, from the Front Office impressed us with her detailed & helpful introductory briefing and was available at all times for any assistance and planning we required, especially related to concierge-services UMESH, the F&B Manager, and his dedicated & tireless team that managed Ferntree, Grills and Hive (amongst other restaurants) to the delight of all guests. NIKHIL waited on us during most of the breakfast sessions in the open area of Ferntree. His breakfast coffee was a treat for any coffee aficionado so we labeled it: "Nikhil's special coffee". To our delight, he served us at Grills as well during an excellent dinner by the poolside. Akshay, with detailed knowledge of the Kodagu cuisine, was always at hand to help us enjoy the finest dinners in Ferntree. Gowtham who curated our in-room dining experience on 3 occasions with care, efficiency and professionalism.

Absolutely stunning property! Where does one even begin? You enter the premises and are gob smacked by the beauty that awaits you at the lobby! One is so mesmerized by the beautiful scenery and landscape that it is difficult to pay attention to the check-in formalities. On check-in, you are greeted with a lovely cup of traditional coffee. The villas are wonderful, so spacious with plenty of room for our family of 4. The resort offers so many activities which we tried - like the paint ball shooting, archery etc. We also saw a local dance performance held at the amphitheater. Sitting out in the open under the star light sky was a magical experience. The food was amazing - personally we liked the breakfast dishes better than what we tried at lunch or over dinner. Huge and special thanks to Arya who greeted us at check-in and was so very prompt and responsive to all our needs. What a gentle, kind and service oriented soul he is! Also tremendous appreciation and thanks to Ricky at the Ferntree and Chef Raja who went out of their way to accommodate my daughter's vegan dietary requirements.

We reached the resort after more than two hours of bumpy ride from Mysore. But once we entered the open lobby area of the resort all our tiredness disappeared - it is the most beautiful nature view with cool breeze that I have seen in any resort or hotel! Aroopa was a wonderful host - she helped us on each and every occasion we approached her with some question. During our three days stay we spent several hours in this awesome main building which also has a beautiful infinity pool. Gazing at the stars during the night was an awesome feel. The cottage had a similar infinity feel - the full glass windows facing the bed gave an immense view of the valley and nature! One can sit in the bed or the seats closer to the glass windows and be immersed for hours in the perception of nature while forgetting the worldly problems. The resort is full of slopes and we liked it because moving around between points gave us well needed daily exercise. Dining was fantastic. Great spread of delicious items in the breakfast buffet! The waiting staff were wonderful - Prem and (the ever smiling) Apurba were two wonderful people. For dinner, Chef Raja and his assistant Girish made sure that we got dishes specially made for our taste. We would certainly revisit Taj Madikeri resort if we return to Coorg again.

Taj is tooooo good. Staff perfect Rebita is great in looking after guest. Vikas GM is focused campaigner. Grill food next to pool is better than food at Bukhara delhi.South indian Coorg thali great presention.A must go to place.Staff is courteous

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights stay at Taj Madikeri. The tiring 9 hour travel from our home in Mumbai disappeared in seconds as soon as we entered the lobby by seeing one of the most beautiful valley & mountain view. The lobby is one of the USP of the property. We were well received by Ms. Saadiya from front office with effortless check-in.We appreciate the kind hospitality by Ms.Saadiya ,Aroopa , Rebita & others from front office. The Cottage was large & spacious with separate areas for each functionalities. The cottage had large french windows covering almost 145 degree with beautiful scenic view. The cottage was based on Coorg Architecture coupled with one of the most contemporary decor & very comfortable furniture. The property is located on the hills & a part of the beautiful rain forest. The climate also was very supportive. Our dietary requirement of Jain Food was taken utmost care by the Fern tree restaurant team. Executive Chef Raja & Sous Chef Dharani made sure that not only we were served pure Jain Food with a large spread but also ensured that the food was very tasty & customised to our taste in all our meals. Chef on his own made sure that we get to eat different cuisines on all the days & made within our dietary requirement of Jain Food. Ashish, Ricky & serving team were at our service. The motto of the team was that our wish was their command. Taj Madikery is fortunate to have such human assets which try to exceed the standards of hospitality & customer care that Taj is known for. The Food Taste, Variety & Hospitality by Fern tree Team was so good that we didn't go to any other restaurants which were part of the property.Our Special Thanks to all of them. Taj's J. Wellness Spa is also one of its kind with various kinds of Messages & Treatment. Dr. Vidhi Singh was very courteous & helpful. She explained in detail the various therapies & also gave certain insight about the property which we used to enjoy our stay. My wife's treatment was done by Therapist Priti who was very well experienced/trained & did a good job. Our housekeeping was well attended by Arun Mathew George & Team & they made sure we had a comfortable & a pleasant stay. The Bed & Toilet Linen & Toiletries were of very good quality with a very soothing aroma. We also enjoyed a rain forest walk with the *** of mother nature viz. Mr.Pradhan. He was not only in love with Mother Nature but was very passionate & knowledgeable. He made sure our 2 hour walk was truly worth & enjoyable. We also enjoyed the Temperature Controlled Infinity Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi, Souna & Steam .All facilities were very well maintained & neat & clean. We also undertook a Yoga Session.We also used the activity centre which had various indoor games , Library etc. We also enjoyed a Sun Bath on the very comfortable Swing Bed Gazebo outside the outdoor swimming pool. To conclude we had a very relaxing unwinding 3 nights/4 days break in the lap of nature with excellent facilities on

Every staff member was so cordial, the service was par excellence, facility was so well maintained and the food was exceptional. Every staff member made us feel extra special and comforted. A big Thank You for the feeling of Tajness that you all could create for us.
