Great Hotel for a 2 star hotel. Hotel prices in Madrid are expensive so I would rate this a pretty good hotel. The staff is amazing and helpful. There was a front desk staff named Ignacio I think, I dont think I am naming the person right but he was very helpful and amazing. Informed us of things to do, places to go and was just very kind in general.
The hotel is about 20 minutes walk to center area but the metro is only 200mts away. The location has lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and churro places. Night time also is happening in the area.
Would definitely recommend this.

The hotel’s location is great. Restaurants all around the hotel and all the major tourist sites are within a 1-hour walking radius. The entire staff is friendly and eager to please. Big shout-out to the lady who checked me in on the morning of Feb 2. She was very friendly and extra helpful. For the price of the room, this is a great deal based on the room size. It had a bigger than usual TV, a large bathroom and everything worked. There are ample power outlets and HDMI ports.

I had two separate stays here over a two week span. Here are my comments based on my personal experience. Good: Nice staff Great location, easy walking to shops, Metro and attractions Modern and clean rooms and bathrooms Good internet Good shower water pressure and hardware Good hairdryer Good lighting Bad: Street noise. Even on the top floor, street noise is an issue. From noisy pedestrians to emergency sirens, good sleep was a challenge for a lighter sleeper. Thermostat/room temperature. You cannot lower the thermostat below 23 C. I think my rooms were warmer than that, I was hot for much of my stay. I need a cool climate for a decent sleep. Shower does not have a shelf to put your stuff. This is easy and cheap to fix. Back of bathroom door needs a hook. One of my rooms did not having a working door bolt. That’s a safety problem. Doors don’t have peep hole. I noticed this at other hotels in Spain. This is also a safety defect. One day there was no hot water. Random tip: the elevator from the street entrance is the kind that requires you to pull open the glass door. I didn’t realize that when I first arrived and thought it was broken, I had to drag my stuff up the stairs. Also, you have to hold a button for the duration of your journey up or down, just a funny quirk.

Never for one minute did I think I’d give an Ibis a full five. We are coming to the end of a six night stay here after visiting our daughter who lives here in Madrid working in an English school. Please remember that this is a two star hotel so cannot be compared to a luxury hotel. This is reflected in the nightly price which for Madrid is very competitive. Lovely welcome, really nice and helpful staff, extremely clean and for an Ibis very spacious rooms with effective soundproofing and black out curtains. We will definitely return when we come back to see our daughter. In a lovely residential area but also in a great location as nothing is far away on foot. Highly recommended and that’s saying something from me.

Stayed four nights here while in Madrid. The room was on the smaller side but had everything we needed. Soundproofing must be excellent because we did not hear any noise both from other rooms or outside. Great location, very close to Calle de Fuencarral which made for nice walking and eating options. Also very close to metro station. For the price, we would absolutely stay here the next time we are in Madrid. Very clean hotel and lovely staff to assist with needs. Thank you Ibis Madrid Centro!

Hey, just a heads up, don't stay at this hotel! My mom woke up in the middle of the night to find some random dude in her room. Turns out the hotel staff gave this guy access to her room without even checking his ID or room number. How sketchy is that?! It's a serious safety issue and the support we got from the hotel after the whole thing was a total letdown.

Definitely, we made a mistake. The person who was given the wrong key was also a hotel’s client. In fact he was also very surprised and confused when he entered a room that was not his. As human beings, we all make mistakes but we have to solve them and of course learn from them. Therefore, the first thing we did was to talk to your mother, explain what happened, take responsibility and try to find a solution so that they would be as comfortable as possible. Of course we refunded the total value of the night and arranged for them a reservation in a higher category hotel where they did not have to pay anything. Furthermore, once they had already checked-in at the new hotel, our direction department got in touch with them to verify that they were alright and to express again our apologies. We are very surprised by your comments since you imply that the hotel has not taken any action to manage the problem and, although we understand that it is an unusual and atypical situation, the hotel has understood the problem from the moment it happened and we have activated all the means of help and support that were in our hands to find the solutions that best options the needs that the guests raised with us.
