Clean and cozy hotel. Front desk staff are friendly and greet guest, but other staff like domestics don’t. They allowed us 1hour early check-in which is really appreciated coming from a stressful flight. Location is great as it is 2-3mins walk to Sol (city centre) lots of restaurants and shops around. Breakfast buffet selections are little bit lacklustre. We enjoyed the jamon (spanish ham) but apart from that wasn’t special. Could have put the juice/coffee machine out for buffet instead of ordering every-time from the staff. We asked the staff if it was possible to extend our stay and get a discount but unfortunately, the price went up than to go down. We would like to use this hotel again in the future if the price is not as expensive as they offered us for our extended stay.

The hotel is really close to everything. However, it is way overpriced for the quality of stay. Information provided about parking was incorrect. Parking is very expensive, not €16-€23, it is actually €30 with a 20% discount. Kitchen would not start on time with all foods, would run out of foods before service is over, half the time only one coffee maker was operational, staff was not very responsive.

The location was perfectly placed in the midst of the historic district. Staff and amenities were fine. The primary reason we could not give it 5 stars is due to the need for us to leave the windows open since we prefer to sleep in a cool room. Since it was early fall, the air conditioning is turned off. However leaving the windows open meant we had street noise all night long. Yes, we know its Madrid and the culture is to stay out late and enjoy yourselves. However, we old folks can't keep up with that schedule and were entertained to loud conversations, motorcycles, and dumping boxes full of glass bottles into the recycling bins 24/7. We loved Madrid, but will stay outside of the city center next trip!

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It's tucked away down a side street close to Santo Domingo, but is pretty much at the centre of everything. The Plaza Mayor and Sol are 5 minutes walk, and Gran Via is even closer. Retiro and Prado about 20 mins away. The rooms were very cosy, clean and comfortable. The reception and breakfast room were also very well appointed and modern. The staff were uber-helpful. I would defintely return.

Excellent location, the hotel is within walking distance of the Plaza Mayor. Very helpful, bilingual staff ( at least Spanish and English). The room was clean and maid service efficient. The buffet style breakfast offered an abundance of tasty choices.

Excellent hotel in an excellent location, close to all the city has to offer. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and reasonably sized not cramped at all. Good selection at breakfast. All in all would stay here again a very enjoyable stay in a good hotel and city.

Place is a dump. Ripped off for $2K.. Stayed one night out of 5.. No water / No aircon /No TV reception A view of a full Skip bin out of window. Room only big enough for one person We chacked out after one night of a 5 night booking Even the Staff thought it was a rip off fo $400 AUD a night ********** to blame as well.. Soho Boutique and ********** blame each other for no refund. They would have rebooked and doubled their money. Thieves should be sued,,

Really great location. Lovely hotel. Our room was lovely, great aircon and an excellent shower room. Lovely lalique toiletries. Super breakfast. Best of all were the staff. Super helpful and very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I had never stayed at this hotel before. I arrived at the check in desk at 8:30 pm on June 29 2024. I was given my key at 9:20 pm. In all my 61 years traveling the world, I've never had to wait so long to be checked into a hotel. The receptionist was helping a family who apparently did not have a reservation, who behaved as if very entitled, and who had many particular room requirements. The single receptionist could have and should have paused 5 minutes to check me in. Thankfully, no others were waiting.

Excellent hotel, friendly and helpful staff, rooms clean and well appointed, good central location within easy walking distance of the major sites and plenty of taxis to take you to sites that were a little more distant. Good breakfast in the hotel, and excellent restaurants within 2 minutes' walk for a variety of types of meal later in the day.

Good hotel basic room no mini fridge. Great location to shopping & the plazas Quiet & comfortable bed with a tiny balcony. Coffee machine & big flat tv screen. Cafe Varela just around the corner & you are 5 minutes walk from Plaza Major & Plaza Sol.

Friendly, helpful staff throughout the hotel. Comfortable, well appointed room with all the amenities you need. ( Including a coffee pod machine! Being British a kettle for making tea would be better) . Breakfast was good with a good selection of items including bacon and scrambled eggs. The hotel is ideal For a short break to visit the tourist sites of Madrid. Most can be walked to but Metro station is nearby for the further ones if required. Several cafes and restaurants for all tastes and budgets are within 100m but the hotel itself is tucked away from any noise and disturbance.
