Amazing atmosphere, with very close to nature, amazing city view, views, nice amenities in the room and premises, very helpful staff, never seen before this type of city view of madurai. If you have come with your family and you have good budget to stay, stay here once you feel a lifetime experience of the cultural city of Tamil Nadu.

The hotel sadly as and is a big let down. We arrived to find rooms were not ready so they sat us in the restaurant expecting you to order food and drinks whilst you waited. It was a considerable amount of time for them to bring a tea and coffee for the two of us, wasn't sure if this was because we didn't order food. The restaurant was very clean and presentable so no faults there but reiterating the service was unbearably slow. All the staff couldn't be anymore helpful or pleasant so no faults there. Our room however wasn't up to a great standard. The air-conditioning made the room smell extremely musty and unpleasant. The windows had been painted over so you couldn't see out nor could you open them. We ended up having to prop the door wide open to try air the room. Water was pouring out of the light fitting just outside the entrance of our room and it must be noted it wasn't raining outside. I personally found the room bearable aesthetically if you didn't look too closely at anything. The rest of the hotel and grounds I have to be honest are a disgrace. Filthy, neglected, and extremely run down are the words worthy of honest opinion. We sat outside the restaurant for a drink as this was the only place to go at 3pm we were told, Relaxing this was not. The chairs extremely filthy and the atmosphere horrendous. Work was been carried out on the floors above the restaurant and the noise was continuous and loud. We did have a peacock come and join us which was a pleasant surprise. Mini bar in our room had a can of tonic a bottle of fizzy water and a toblerone bar. Drinks however extremely overpriced the dearest in all the hotels we have stopped in whilst travelling around India. The food was acceptable but again not as enjoyable as other hotels that we experienced on our travels. Would we come back here most probably not sad to say as the building and grounds could be absolutely stunning a big let down. The pictures say it all

Our comfortable stay at this nice hotel was completed by the excellent employers in housekeeping service (especially Miss Velammal), restaurant (especially Mr.Subas), reception (especially Mr. Pandian, booking department (especially Mrs. Lalitha and Mr. Ramesh) and service of taking care of the hotel area.

Excellent experience. Mr Pandian was very polite and helpful in all aspects. Hotel Atmosphere was very pleasant and peaceful. Nice place to stay with family. They (Mr pandian) can help us with Darshan of Meenakshi Temple also. Recommended to stay

This is a peaceful place with nice rooms, good food, and a beautiful natural setting. Great for a relaxing stay. The property is elegantly maintained, and rich in heritage charm. The service was exemplary, with special appreciation for Mr. Pandian, whose professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail greatly enhanced the overall experience. Here the garden is well-maintained and full of greenery.Peacocks roaming around add a special charm, making the place feel calm and close to nature.Housekeeping at here is excellent. The rooms are kept clean, neat, and fresh , with staff being polite and helpful.They provide good quality toiletries. Essentials like soap, shampoo, and towels are clean, well-stocked, and neatly arranged too. The food is delicious and well-prepared. They offer a good variety of dishes, and the taste and quality are impressive. I highly recommend this property to discerning travelers seeking comfort, luxury, and personalized hospitality

Taj Pasumalai is home away from home for us! we have been a regular visitor since 2021 & the level of service they provide is incomparable. The entire team treats you like a family and provides you with right guidance in visiting places in and around Madurai. The property being on a hillock provides beautiful views ( and many beautiful peacocks that are very friendly in this property) and a sense of exclusivity!
