Cardinal Inn

My wife and I stayed one night at The Cardinal Inn while en route on a motorcycle trip through the Smokey Mountains, and it was fantastic. Our room was very clean, bright, and well decorated with a comfy bed, nice sheets, and good pillows. The room was nicely furnished as well. Each room had a table and a couple of chairs outside the door, and everything outside was clean and comfortable as well. The only things that weren't perfect was that the bathroom door was a little bit hard to close in our room, and we had to run the hot water for a couple minutes initially to get the hot water to our room. Neither of these were big deals and I'm digging to find anything to even write about that wasn't perfect. It's walking distance from at least 4 restaurants for meals, which was convenient if you want to have a drink or two and not drive back to the room. Overall this would be my go-to if we stay in Maggie Valley again. Nice place!

This is great little motel with super clean rooms. The staff was great with service and the communications before and after our stay. The bucket of ice before in the room before check-in was a nice touch. I will definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great experience.

We made our way back to the Cardinal Inn for the craft fair. Again all was amazing and comfortable. I forgot the distilled water for my Capap machine. I went to ask Paula where I could get some and she said right on my shelf. We had an amazing time and a great fire the second night. We will be back. Thank you.

This was one of the best vacations we have ever had. If you are looking for quiet and relaxation, The Cardinal Inn is for you. First off the owners and staff are some of the most friendly people we have ever encountered. Every need was met, and you can tell they take keeping their guests happy a top priority. I have never felt so welcome and relaxed. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. Everything worked and was highly maintained. The views of the mountains from the porch rockers are beautiful and inspiring. They also have several hammocks for you to use. Lying in that hammock gazing up into the large Maple tree just made my anxieties melt away. The Cardinal Inn is one of a very few places I have wanted to stay longer. I did not want to leave. Excellent location and parking right at your door. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. When we get to come back, the only place we will stay is the Cardinal Inn. Thank you for an amazing vacation. You renewed my soul.

I just cannot say enough great things about the Cardinal Inn. From me calling and bugging these ladies until the time it was time to bid adieu, they have been nothing but a class act. The level of hospitality is nothing short of perfection. It was peaceful and so relaxing. It was also a very convenient location. If ever you need anything, they will guide and bring their local knowledge right to you. Phenomenal establishment and we will be back next time we come to Maggie Valley. Carly the cat was the icing on the cake 😻

The Cardinal Inn is right on the main street in Maggie Valley and convenient to restaurants and shopping. It is a quaint and cozy place to stay and has lots of character. Clean rooms and friendly staff. I will stay again when I return to Maggie Valley.
