Villas de Jardin Self-Catering

My stay at Villas De Jardin was nothing short of incredible! It started with a warm, family like welcome from our host Altezia. Our villa was very clean and private and had a beautiful view on the mountainside overlooking the coast. The service from the staff was excellent and much appreciated. The villa was huge with an indoor rain shower, an outdoor shower, a large balcony, and a full service kitchen. Being a self-catering facility, it was nice being able to go to the grocery store and cook meals. Villas De Jardin is on a small, quiet portion of the island, which is nice and isolated from the busyness of Mahe. Overall, could not recommend this destination more for your trip on Mahe Island! My wife and I will definitely be coming back to visit Altezia and Villa De Jardin in the future! 10/10!

Our stay at Villas de Jardin was simply fantastic! The villa was spacious and luxurious, the infinity pool was simply breathtaking and the highlight was definitely the outdoor shower. The evenings on the terrace overlooking the surrounding area were simply beautiful. A perfect hideaway for relaxation and recreation!

A stunning place! A lot of places are a bit of a letdown, as good photos lead you to believe it is a bit nicer than it actually is. Villa de Jardin exceeded all our expectations! A great value in a pricey part of the world. We literally were going to blow off our next prepaid destination, to try and stay longer. Pemma was so helpful in so many ways. She is a gem! The design and detail of the entire property is amazing. Having to leave was the only downside. Would love to go back to the Seychelles just to stay there again. Hands down the best place we stayed on our six weeks of traveling in Africa and Europe.

FROM THE MOMENT WE ARRIVED, PEMMA (A HUGELY EXPERIENCED LOCAL LADY) MADE US FEEL VERY WELCOME AND WAS ALWAYS THERE IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING, SHE BROUGHT US MEDICINE WHEN WE BECAME UNWELL AND EVEN BROUGHT US SOME MUCH NEEDED DELICIOUS HOMEMADE KREOLE SOUP. SHE HELPED US BECOME WELL ENOUGH TO GO TO OUR SONS WEDDING DAYS LATER, WE'LL NEVER FORGET THAT. ALL THE STAFF WE MET WERE SO FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, AND IT NEVER FELT LIKE IT WAS BECAUSE THEY WERE BEING PAID TO. SPECIAL MENTION TO LINDY AND SANJID IF YOU LIKE NOT BEING IN A BIG COMMERCIAL RESORT THESE 7 VERY SPACIOUS VILLAS (SET IN VERY WELL KEPT JUNGLE LIKE GARDENS) ON THE SIDE OF A HILL WITH STUNNING VIEWS ARE HARD TO BEAT, WE COULD QUITE HAPPILY HAVE SAT ON THE HUGE BALCONY ALL WEEK DRINKING IN THE VIEWS AND NOT GOING ANYWHERE.

The view might be the most amazing on the Island. The management was wonderful and we could not have asked for a better stay. The accommodations were way more beautiful and comfortable then what is advertised. Will not be disappointed

Our stay at Villas de Jardin was absolutely perfect! Where to begin? Let’s start with the place itself: Location – 10/10: Walking distance to a couple of small local supermarkets, restaurants and beaches yet the villas themselves are nestled on a hill, with spectacular views (more on this later) in a quiet area with plenty of privacy. The only thing you will hear are the birds and the sound of the roaring ocean waves in the distance. (I really believe this location is so much better than other villas/hotels that are right on the beach – you just won’t get the same views from ground level, nor will get the privacy!). The sound of the waves had me sleeping like a baby every single night :) Rooms – 9.9/10: A generous sized villa, immaculately clean, huge & comfortable bed, everything you could want. The terrace/balcony is spacious and well designed to give maximum advantage to enjoy the views from every angle: unbeatable sea-view, gorgeous green hills, well-kept gardens all around. It’s so lovely to dine outside while enjoying in the breath-taking views.. we could have happily just sat out on the terrace all day, every day! The kitchenette has everything you could need. The bathroom is very spacious, clean and even has an additional outdoor shower. The pool is immaculately clean and has beautiful sea views. The villa has beautifully huge windows so that you can enjoy the extraordinary views 24/7. (The only reason I haven’t given 10/10 for the room is because I feel the lighting was a bit dark – not a problem during the day because of the afore mentioned windows but at night, either needs a few more light fixtures or stronger lightbulbs. This is a minor critique but I want to be 100% honest.. and if this is the worst thing I can say about the place then you know it can’t be bad!! Maybe the dim lighting is intentional for a more ‘romantic vibe’ but I’m just giving feedback as room for improvement. Also, the internet was a (tiny) bit on the slow side but who cares, get out and enjoy the lovely islands!! The only reason we noticed the internet is because one evening my husband had to watch an ‘important’ football match that he just couldn’t miss…). Service: 12/10 The ladies that clean the room were so lovely and friendly, always greeting us with a smile. We loved the way the towels were folded so creatively and the beautiful touches with flowers in all the rooms. We had a lovely surprise on arrival, a beautifully presented bottle of bubby, with flowers and a lovely welcome note (it was our honeymoon and it was so kind of Pemma & the staff to make such a an effort). Pemma really goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and make sure that you have everything you need. We took her advice on where to visit, where to eat, she organised our car rental as well as an excursion to some of the other islands – she really helped us make the most out of our trip and she did it so effortlessly.
