the food is very bad

Me and my partner have just arrived back from Sunstar resort. Overall we have had a good holiday, the hotel is clean, the rooms are modern and are cleaned daily, a fresh bottle of water left everyday. The pool area is good, the animation team work very hard along with all the bar staff. The food- so if you’re looking to book expecting the same 5 star quality food as places like Mexico you will be disappointed, saying that we never went hungry at all. You get what you pay for, we expected very little from all the reviews before hand and both of us were pleasantly surprised. The only down side on our second to last day was my partner witnessed one of the snack bar staff put food back in the self serve trays directly off of someone’s plate who had left their food to be disposed of. No matter the star of hotel that’s a no, no. All in all we had a good week plenty of cocktails and beer and the weather didn’t skip a beat. If you’re just looking for a week to chill out and enjoy some down time this place ticks boxes. If you want genuine 5 star luxury look elsewhere.

Lovely hotel however we all felt amongst other family’s the hotel is quite dark and not enough lights around the building . The food is nice but there are no sugar free options so diabetic or healthy people can’t even have a fizzy soft drink without all the sugar ! There isn’t enough alcohol options only gin wine and vodka which is a shame and there’s only one option for beer . The hotel rooms are really nice! The entertainment team are fun and a good laugh and talkative like one of them called John Also the gym is limited only one machine works

If you're looking for a budget-friendly, clean hotel and don’t mind relatively bland food, this might work for you – but it's far from the 5-star experience it claims to be. The housekeeping staff were pleasant and kept the rooms tidy, which we appreciated. However, the rooms themselves are dated, with visible wear and tear. Some safety concerns stood out – like sharp edges near the pool, a lack of lifeguards, and a rusty children's play area. Food was the biggest letdown. While there was of variety mainly for vegetarians, the quality wasn’t there. Many dishes were poorly prepared, often cold or overcooked, and some items felt unsafe to eat. Breakfast was especially lacking, and most drinks tasted artificial. Dinner started late at 7pm, which didn’t suit families with dietary needs. Service was hit-or-miss. Some staff were kind, but many seemed uninterested in helping beyond the basics. The beach was rocky and uncomfortable, and the nearby rear entrance wasn’t monitored, which raised security concerns. Also, there was no communication from staff during minor earthquakes – not reassuring. Bottom line: If you want a cheap, no-frills sunny break and aren't expecting luxury, this place may suffice. But calling it a 5-star resort is misleading. It’s more like a 3-star at best.

Pool water is lovely, the bar staff are so sound and very generous with drink portions so u enjoy urself, the young waiter called ARDA is especially good he waits on you hand and foot and makes and effort to talk and banter you. The pillows are very fluffy and the suns very warm. The shower has ample space for 2 or more people if that’s what ur into, The lifts work superbly and there’s a cute shop that sells crisps which is good. The badays clean you bum very well and i mean very well, the place is genuinely perfect, food is a very good quality especially for me as i’m a picky eater. my only criticism if i was to give one would be the slide is no where near steep or fast enough u find urself having to push urself down or you get stuck. i need to give a special mention to one of the entertainers John he is nothing short of brilliant, i cannot stress this enough. he makes the best effort he eats with you and plays card games and plays pranks he’s more of a friend then a worker he is brilliant at his job he captures everyone’s attention and makes the stay more enjoyable pls give him a pay rise.

Stayed in the hotel for 12 nights and the entertainment staff were amazing. Can Berk was so friendly and helpful, they all created an amazing environment and was great with all of the children! They provided a trip to the nightclub every night and the club was amazing, they made sure you were safe. Would definitely recommend! Our room was spotless and could not have been better! The bar staff are so friendly and the cocktails are amazing. I will definitely be returning.
