Tranquil Getaways really live up to their name. As you walk in to your cabin, you are greeted by lush green views from all the large windows, overlooking the Obi creek and trees. Yet you are completely private and can relax in the spa bath, gazing up at the treetops. Barb and Greg have created a perfect retreat for couples or a solo visitor seeking peace, providing well equipped accommodation including delicious breakfast supplies and other extras on request such a the recommended (by me) cheese plate and wine, chocolates, flowers and other treats. Barb runs a lovely yoga class some days, which would suit any agility level, and Greg offers massage (which I sadly didn't have time for). It would be easy to not leave until check out time, but the township of Maleny is a very short walk away with its tempting shops and cafes. Montville is not far away, and Mary Cairncross park for some rainforest walking. Sadly, no platypus appeared in the creek, but otherwise this escape was perfect.

My stay at Tranquil Getaways was indeed a tranquil getaway. I felt beautifully at home, relaxed and comfortable in my own villa with a perfectly peaceful outlook over Obi Creek. The Obi Boardwalk is right on the doorstep, and the Mary Cairncross Sanctuary is five minutes drive. Barb and Greg are wonderful hosts and the villas are close and convenient to Maleny. Highly recommended!

I loved my 3-night stay at On Obi Maleny in the guest room. I wandered down to the Obi Creek in the mornings. It runs through the property and I would sit in the shade among the lomandra (native grasses) and journal. You are immersed in the sounds of the cicadas and see little splashes around the creek from the platypus' who shelter in the creek. It was also great to be able to reset my nervous system with yoga in the studio. It has beautiful timber floors, air conditioning, and a view of the tree canopy. Highly recommend for a reset from life!

Amazing yoga retreat combining yoga and sigheeeing, everywhere we went was a bit different. Massage was incredibly relaxing, Welcome food packets were delicious. Barb and Greg are the most welcoming helpful hosts you could ever get The platypus walk was excellant and our rooms were very comfortable

I recently attended a yoga retreat at On Obi Maleny with Barb and Greg. Their scheduling of yoga sessions and various other activities to enjoy in between was excellent. Wonderful inclusion of local activities and fabulous cuisine. Barb and Greg’s personal care and attention of their retreat attendees was outstanding and refreshingly individualised. Whether you can do yoga or just want to see what it’s all about you will love it. All while staying in comfort in gorgeous secluded cabins which are close enough to walk into Maleny town, Cannot wait to return! :)

Stayed in villa 2 because we rode our motorbikes up and Barb & Greg suggested it's the best villa for us motorbike riders and they are right.We can't say enough positive things that will fit into this short space. Everything was perfect and we can't wait to return. You will not be disappointment. If you ride, Villa 2 is the best option by far.

My husband and I had a beautiful stay the cabin we stayed in was cabin 2 and it was beautiful. The creek with it’s beautiful rainforest their are no words I felt so relax it was the best get away. The cabins are walking distance to RSL, the hotel and a great walk track. Pizza place and Chinese food.

Fantastic location beautiful unit and great hosts. I was having a cup of tea on the deck looking at the creek as a platypus swam by magic.The hotel is 100metres away and their are other restaurants within walking distance. The Vietnamese restaurant was very good as well.

Loved our stay. Greg and Barb are fantastic hosts that make the extra effort to personalise our stay. Great attention to details. It's the little things. Very handy location. We enjoyed the scenic walks along the creek through the rain forest to get to the Maleny Music Festival and town. Relaxing in the tub and enjoying the tranquil sights and sounds of nature from the balcony - just perfect! We will come again. Thank you.
