Very beautiful and quiet place. Very smiling and friendly hotel staff who are always happy to help. Very tasty food. Bars, pools, evening shows. The room was excellent with a beautiful view that you can admire for hours. We liked everything very much, we plan to come back here.️ Очень красивое и тихое место. Absolutely amazing hotel ,the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay. The food in the restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and not repetitive at all . congratulations goes out the head chef and his colleagues. Also in the dining room there is free flowing wine beer water and soft drinks for you to help yourself. Maria in the main pool bar was brilliant she never stopped working from 10am to 6pm. Some people moaned about the selection of drinks on offer as it was soft drinks,ouzo cocktails or raki cocktails and lager. But while in Greece do as the greek do. If you wanted vodka ,rum , whiskey etc you could pay extra or simply by a bottle from a shop and add your mixer for free. The entertainment was low key but all good and was in an ampitheater every night at 9.30. for an hour . Yes it is located at he top of a steep hill but there is a hotel shuttle service every day down to the small beach and returns at set times . The beach as I have said is small and gravely but if you wear swim shoes it's ok,and the is a couple of shops and 3 bars restaurants there if you spend a day there. All in all the blue bay at Agia Pelagia is one of the best hotels you could wish for a definitely a 5 Star from me and my fiancé.

The staff at the blue bay resort are polite and attentive, they really provide a friendly atmosphere. Checkin Process was smooth and efficient, our cases taken to our room and we were driven down to the room. We were situated in the annexe 5km from the main pool, a short walk from the main reception with beautiful surroundings. The Room was perfect for what we used. The view from the balcony was spectacular. The pool area is fab, never a problem getting a sun-bed. Entertainment around the pool is enjoyable, not too loud and sunbeds situated away from the main activities. Pool bar drinks and snacks are delicious. Both annexe buildings have pools situated in the area also. We spent our time by the main pool as more entertainment however the annexe pools do provide a tranquil space should you wish for peace and quiet. Main restaurant is immaculately clean and staff attentive. I am a fussy eater abroad however I never struggled to eat breakfast, lunch & dinner. The team also provided dairy free milk for myself- something I am most thankful for. The drinks are local to the island but worth trying the variety to get to know your fave! The entertainment programme was spot on! Our favourite part of the nights were getting drinks and taking our seats at the theatre to watch the nightly entertainment. An array of shows scheduled and all very unique and enjoyable. The beach is the hidden gem for this hotel. A real sun trap! €10 for our sunbeds, 3 shops and 3 restaurants, we thoroughly enjoyed our days here and the shuttle to and from the hotel is a god send! Our time at bluebay provided us with life long memories and we will be sure to return.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, comfortable beds, good food, great barstaff, varied entertainment. We stayed in the annex about five minutes walk up the road from the main hotel; quieter, less busy round the pool sides. Would stay here again.

Arrived late on Tuesday 17th September 2024. Katrina at reception was very friendly and directed us straight through for food. Our room 208 is excellent and the view is incredible. I am a celiac and all food is labelled and good choice. My husband is a fussy eater and found the food amazing and very healthy. All staff and very helpful and friendly. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in and will update review when we get back to sunny England.

We returned to Blue Bay Hotel this year for our 3rd vacation in a row. You can’t fault this hotel on any level. Yes there’s a hill and it’s quite steep but the hotel run a taxi service up and down all day long and it’s FREE. When you my your reservation book main hotel and that’s what you get it’s simple. The food is very good with plenty of choices there’s something for every taste with a fantastic variety and it’s fresh and hot. Some foods are cooked on full view so you know it’s fresh come on what more can you want. The staff are always friendly and so polite and helpful and that makes your Blue Bay stay extra special. The rooms are spotless they clean the rooms every day to a high standard. The reception staff are very professional and are easy to talk to if you have any issues and they ensure it’s sorted immediately. I would say honestly it’s one of the best hotels in Crete. Ok it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I can tell you this if you book this hotel you will definitely not be disappointed. Nice hotel , lovely staff , clean, good views, good food , all inclusive drinks questionable, wine on tap we ordered bottles which wasn’t too expensive, enjoy! Beach nearby is great , one taverna , two bars couple of supermarkets, crystal clear sea had a lovely time .

Only back a couple of weeks from this fantastic hotel and already missing it. Our fourth stay in the Blue Bay Resort Hotel and wow! It just keeps getting better everytime. The staff are amazing, lovely, friendly and hardworking people who strive to make your experience amazing! We could never thank them enough. The hotel itself it's beautiful, a wide range of rooms and accommodation to choose from. Plenty of areas to relax and chill in comfort surroundings near the reception. Main bar near the reception just off the to the left, shop selling snacks and drinks, plus other necessities you may need and selection of gifts. The main pool area consists of three pools and pool bar which serves snacks at various times throughout the day between meal times. The food is amazing and a wide selection of fresh produce to choose from, brilliantly prepared by the hardworking staff. Something for everyone for sure. Local town of Agia Pelagia only a ten minute ride away. Bus service from the hotel to the city of Heraklion several times a day very reasonably priced. As in previous reviews I've posted before I can't recommend the Blue Bay Resort Hotel highly enough. A true home from home for us, we look forward to visiting again and again. We recently spent a week at the Blue Bay Resort and Spa in July, staying in a family room in the main building with a beautiful sea view. Overall, our experience was positive with a few notable exceptions. **Room and Cleanliness:** The family room was very clean, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job. Towels were changed daily, and the beds were made every day, ensuring a comfortable stay. **Service:** The hotel staff provided amazing service throughout our stay. They were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with any requests we had. **Food:** The food quality in the all-inclusive package was really good. It was tasty, fresh, and well-prepared. However, the menu was quite repetitive, which is something to be expected in an all-inclusive setup. **Drinks:** The drinks at the all-inclusive bar were a letdown. The selection was very limited, and it seemed like the alcohol might have been watered down, as there was no noticeable effect even after consuming drinks throughout the day and night. After 11 PM, you have to pay for drinks, which was disappointing for an all-inclusive resort. **Location:** The resort is situated on a hillside, which was fine for us but could be challenging for those with mobility issues. The surrounding area doesn’t offer much, so we often ventured out to the beach area for food and drinks. **Entertainment:** The evening entertainment was good but inconveniently located far from the main bar and toilets. This required a 20-minute round-trip to get drinks or use the bathroom, which deterred us from attending after two nights. Daytime entertainment was limited to activities like darts, water volleyball, and water aerobics. There was no music by the pool, except during water aerobics, so bringing your own music is necessary. **Overall Vibe:** The resort had a laid-back atmosphere, which we enjoyed. However, the lack of variety in entertainment and the poor quality of drinks were notable downsides. **Recommendation:** While our stay was generally good, the repetitive food, watered-down drinks, and inconvenient entertainment setup were drawbacks. If you're looking for a relaxing stay with good service and don't mind the limited drink options and entertainment, the Blue Bay Resort and Spa could be a decent choice. However, those with mobility issues or seeking a vibrant nightlife might want to consider other options.
