Sarpidon Apartments

A last minute cheap holiday was needed after a particularly stressful year after my wife lost her father. It was our second trip to Malia the previous one being 23yrs ago. We needed somewhere hot just to chill and relax. The Sarpidon Apartments did not disappoint. No wonder the place had people who had been before. It's a ten minute walk away from the Malia party raving area if that's your thing, although there are lovely quaint restaurants, bars nearby which is more our style. We ended up spending most of our time on- site, which is unusual for us. There's also small well- stocked supermarkets nearby for us self-caterers. You're met by the bar staff who help you with your cases to your room. Craig works during the day, Lucy at night. Both are fantastic, nothing is a bother to them. You couldnt ask for nicer, more hard-working people. Lucy even made sure my wife got her ration of Coronation Street on the bar television. They made the holiday. We had room 301 (top floor) which was spacious, comfortable, modern, well equipped with a balcony. It was spotlessly clean. You need the air conditioning which is approx 7euros a day. Well worth it. Top tip- the rooms have modern televisions so take your Amazon Firestick. The bar is small but the quality of food was excellent and the prices very reasonable. Again Craig and Lucy are always on hand, top notch. Well maintained, tables wiped down and cleared straight after use. People were coming from different apartments for food and the pool which says it all tbh. Varied age groups, the more mature in the majority. There were plenty of sun beds, no morning dash around the pool. The pool itself was spotless, decent temperature and size. Previous customers airbeds and books available. It's just a great place to chill out ,eat, drink and relax. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return in the future. A great holiday.

Sarpidon Apartments holds a very friendly staff and they serve excellent, simple but tasteful food, there is a nice pool, a good relax area with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. The rooms are super clean and are spacious enough for a pleasant stay.

We stayed here for 10 brilliant days in July/August 2024 and had a wonderful time. The rooms were immaculately clean and were serviced impeccably on alternate days. The gardens around the lovely pool are very well tended and there was always plenty of sun loungers even at the busiest times. The bar is open 24 hours and the staff are amazing. Dora is so friendly and fun, treating us like her own personal guests. The food is excellent and well-priced, and the extensive cocktail menu was very much appreciated. When we stayed there was a stream of groups of young people staying. Some reviewers have complained about the noise, but although the bar can be lively, and a couple of times, groups of guys started their parties on their balconies, we were not disturbed by noise. The double glazing is very effective and Dora and the other staff run a tight ship, and do not allow any anti social behaviour to spoil guests’ enjoyment of their holiday. I would recommend this hotel for families with older children or teenagers. It’s position in Malia Old town is perfect for eating/drinking in traditional tavernas, but “The Strip” is walkable if you fancy experiencing it. We loved it!

Staff were nothing but lovely, can’t fault them! However they did seem extra eager for tips, but that’s too be expected. On the website it does say air con is included which it is not. It was clean and tidy, but we requested no room service and they did it anyway which was annoying. Food and drinks were delicious! Would return.

This is just the best place to stay ! On arriving we were greeted and shown to.our room.having help.with out baggage. The room.was spotless and stayed the same throughout our stay housekeeping was spot on.and fresh bedding and towels every other day which both were crisp white , also stocked with toilet rolls . The whole hotel was spotless clean and all staff were attentive polite and made us feel most welcome nothing was too much trouble . The pool was lovely and clean and plenty of loungers available and never had problems getting a bed.the gardens were beautiful and well maintained. There is a charge for air-conditioning which was €120 euros for our two week stay abit pricey but needed.we were b&b and the menu choice was really good consisting of 7 choices . We also had evening meals and also lunch a couple of times and the meals were very good more of a restaurant standard not like just a snack bar. There was alot more of the younger generation who we never saw much until late In the afternoon they were going out as we were coming in for the night and sleeping most of the morning , yes sometimes they were abit rowdy but you can get that anywhere.the tavernas and bars are virtually just outside and were very pretty this is where we spent most of our time it was very peaceful and plesent Plenty of shopping to be done with amples of shops (5 mins away) for everyone's choice. Plenty of supermarkets also .the strip is 10 -15 mins walk away and the beach which is beautiful a good 25 mins walk.we can't wait to return next year and have already booked

We arrived at sarpidon early Sunday morning we were greeted by katarina and arron very pleasant people showed the wife and I to the room lovely room . In the morning sat down for breakfast English but there were other choices to have pool brilliant serves excellent the menu and choices were like a restaurant we had several meals and all delicious The town it's self fantastic every body you met were friendly spoke to you can't wait to go back We met some lovely people there yes there are alot off young people there but they come for the night life we have all been young we were coming in at 12 night time they were going out good mix of old and young The bars staff absolutely fantastic from start to finish happy friendly big thanks to Dora Luci Craig Arron Katarina Sophia for lucking after us see you next year june 2025 can't wait George Deb
