Sarpidon Apartments

We had a lovely time staying at the Sarpidon. The apartments are clean, spacious and have everything you need. We stayed in a superior apartment and a standard apartment both were very nice the standard apartments are more spacious for a family of 4. All the staff are amazing, very friendly and welcoming. Lucy and Dora are the best! We will definitely be back next year!

Fantastic stay, lovely people and food. We had a mixed bag of weather but lots of walking. The Old Town was magical especially San Giorgio where I had my 70th birthday celebrations. I will return again soo.. Yiamas. welcome to the Raki races!

Strong happy welcome from the start. We came as a family of 8 to celebrate two birthdays. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and helped celebrate our birthdays. Big shout out to Craig, Lucy and Dora! We have never been on a holiday were we’ve felt so at home and relaxed. We will truly miss the place and the staff but will no doubt be back! Locals are very friendly. Cannot recommend the place enough. Love you guys!

A last minute cheap holiday was needed after a particularly stressful year after my wife lost her father. It was our second trip to Malia the previous one being 23yrs ago. We needed somewhere hot just to chill and relax. The Sarpidon Apartments did not disappoint. No wonder the place had people who had been before. It's a ten minute walk away from the Malia party raving area if that's your thing, although there are lovely quaint restaurants, bars nearby which is more our style. We ended up spending most of our time on- site, which is unusual for us. There's also small well- stocked supermarkets nearby for us self-caterers. You're met by the bar staff who help you with your cases to your room. Craig works during the day, Lucy at night. Both are fantastic, nothing is a bother to them. You couldnt ask for nicer, more hard-working people. Lucy even made sure my wife got her ration of Coronation Street on the bar television. They made the holiday. We had room 301 (top floor) which was spacious, comfortable, modern, well equipped with a balcony. It was spotlessly clean. You need the air conditioning which is approx 7euros a day. Well worth it. Top tip- the rooms have modern televisions so take your Amazon Firestick. The bar is small but the quality of food was excellent and the prices very reasonable. Again Craig and Lucy are always on hand, top notch. Well maintained, tables wiped down and cleared straight after use. People were coming from different apartments for food and the pool which says it all tbh. Varied age groups, the more mature in the majority. There were plenty of sun beds, no morning dash around the pool. The pool itself was spotless, decent temperature and size. Previous customers airbeds and books available. It's just a great place to chill out ,eat, drink and relax. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return in the future. A great holiday.

Arrived late at night was dropped approximately 500yds from hotel due to small access route for the bus. Wasn’t a great deal tbh but in the dark was a little daunting but in day nothing too it. Pros of this place are :- Spotless clean room Food is very nice and plentiful The pool is very clean every day Friendly enough staff Safety box 10 euros (non returnable) Cleaners friendly and very hardworking No problem or race for sun loungers Plenty of pool ground space for sunbathing Cons of this place are:- The charge for air con is very high (70 euros) Not allowed any of your own food or drink by pool (obvs want you to buy from them) The self catering facilities are minimalistic - no toaster no microwave and we literally had 3 plates 3 cups 3 glasses a small pan and 2 saucepans More like camping facilities tbh rather than kitchenette. Drinks are not cheap actually cocktails and slush etc more expensive than home I’d say. Overall a satisfactory holiday but more suited to groups of friends rather than families. However, families are using the hotel but not much here for the children or teens other than a very worn pool table costing one euro a game. Would I return - girls trip for few nights yes maybe - family holiday - no

We stayed here for 10 brilliant days in July/August 2024 and had a wonderful time. The rooms were immaculately clean and were serviced impeccably on alternate days. The gardens around the lovely pool are very well tended and there was always plenty of sun loungers even at the busiest times. The bar is open 24 hours and the staff are amazing. Dora is so friendly and fun, treating us like her own personal guests. The food is excellent and well-priced, and the extensive cocktail menu was very much appreciated. When we stayed there was a stream of groups of young people staying. Some reviewers have complained about the noise, but although the bar can be lively, and a couple of times, groups of guys started their parties on their balconies, we were not disturbed by noise. The double glazing is very effective and Dora and the other staff run a tight ship, and do not allow any anti social behaviour to spoil guests’ enjoyment of their holiday. I would recommend this hotel for families with older children or teenagers. It’s position in Malia Old town is perfect for eating/drinking in traditional tavernas, but “The Strip” is walkable if you fancy experiencing it. We loved it!
