Hotel La Forge

This is the WORST business I have ever dealt with in my professional life. This was a business booking via travel agents Egencia/Expedia and it was absolutely unbelievable that ******* would support such a crazy house. They have charged my boss over €300 per night for a room that stank of sweat, the shower was broken and the bedsheets had holes... I understand it's a 2 star hotel, but the price suggest an acceptable level of service at least (which they did not provide). Not only that! They took the payment for the reservation at the time of booking as opposed to what the confirmation said, that payment will be taken at the hotel. not only that! they charged him for an extra night and then they have refused to refund the money saying "he is rich so he can pay". The owners; married, old couple, were so extremely rude and unreasonable that at this point I just think they are both mentally incapacitated and should be in a care home and not dealing with people and their money. They don't speak English and they were very agitated with my boss for complaining about the broken shower. I had to be nice to them while my boss was staying there, as I was genuinely worried, that they would ransack his room while he was out during the day. The "taxi" they have, do not book it! They will take your money and then they will not deliver the service as per instructions. They have charged me €250 for 20/30 min of driving and on the second part of the trip, "the pick up" service, they parked 2.5 miles away from the agreed meeting point, so my boss and his customers had to walk for 2.5 miles in the rain to find the driver. Like I said; THE WORST experience with a business in my professional life. If you still decide to go (and I strongly advise that you don't!), do not pre-pay for anything and make the payments after the service/stay. Looking at all of the online reviews, this is not a one off experience. And even when talking to the local taxi agencies, when I mentioned "La Forge" they literally laughed and said "good luck", so it's clear they are know in the local area, not for the good reasons. Based on that, I truly believe all the positive comments are from their family and not the actual customers.

Kamer nog wat in orde, ontbijt een groot drama. Niets volgens afspraak. Eigenares was alles dan behulpzaam. Netheid ontbijtzaal als kan onder 0/10. Moto vrienden. Garage voor Moto aanweizig maar eigenares sleutel verloren dus geen gesloten garage.

Dopo aver prenotato siamo arrivati in loco tardi ed era chiuso... Avevano un cartello con scritto il numero notturno ma non rispondeva nessuno...vergognoso e scandaloso... Dopo di che ho trovato per strada una signora gentilissima e mi ha fatto capire che era uno degli alberghi peggiori di Malmedy...

Literie inconfortable, on dirait des lits de casernes !!! Les linges de bain n'étaient pas propres du matin au vu de l'odeur. Contrairement à ce qui est indiqué, il n'y a pas de Wifi dans les chambres. Pas de télécommande pour la télé. Petit déjeuner un peu cher pour avoir eu le 2ème jour des croissants de la veille. Point positif, les propriétaires sont très sympathiques.

J'avais réservé cet établissement sur ********** et reçu une confirmation de réservation. Vers 18h alors que j'étais en route pour l'établissement, j'appelle l'hôtel qui m'indique qu'aucune chambre n'est disponible et que même en possession d'un numéro de confirmation je ne pourrai pas y séjourner. Sans autre option disponible, j'ai du dormir dans ma voiture... Etant moi-même hôtelier, j'aurais au moins eu la conscience professionelle de prévenir mais apparement celle-ci n'est pas aussi bien forgée dans l'esprit des gérants de l'hôtel La Forge... à bon entendeur Salut!
