What a great little boutique hotel. Service, room and breakfast were all excellent. Would go there again.

Excellent room, very clean. Food was great, the restaurant is very nice and the service is really good. Bar is good too, the hotel has everything you need. Definitely recommend!

The staff at The Talbot were fantastic. We were looked after superbly whilst we celebrated our Wedding Anniversary.Nothing was too much trouble and we received a complimentary room upgrade too.
We will definitely be going back!

Visiting family, we used this hotel as a base for two nights and were very impressed with the facilities and the staff. The double room was well equipped and very comfortable, with an excellent en-suite. Breakfast choice was extensive and all hot meals are prepared to order, the bacon was really quite exceptional! Little touches like bikes to rent, wellies to borrow, free dog towels and poo bags and biscuits, are what really make a difference in the level of thought that has gone into services. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and yet not imposing. Overall, we would certainly return and recommend to friends.

We’ve just had a spectacular night away at this stunning hotel! Really cannot fault it. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The staff are all very attentive and really know what they’re doing. Ben the bar manager was wonderful. We were offered a £10 upgrade to a four poster suite. YES PLEASE! Room 24 was absolutely beautiful. Immaculate, spacious and very comfortable. We had an excellent nights sleep. Food is served all day and you can take your pick of many beautiful areas to sit and eat, drink and relax in. We had lunch and breakfast and both were fresh and delicious. The views from every window are breathtaking. There’s a real attention to detail with lovely extra touches like iced tea available in the lobby and provisions for dogs. We will most definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at The Talbot Inn. Location is fantastic. We stayed 3 nights in a deluxe double and it was very spacious with large bathroom and roll top bath. Fantastic view. Facilities are first class with everything on hand including Nespresso, Dyson hairdryer, radio, bathrobes, biscuits etc. Staff were all lovely. Breakfasts were wonderful and dinner was also very good. The decor of the hotel is very country chic. The whole vibe is very cool and cosy. Nice lounge and bar. Lovely terrace to enjoy a drink with great views. Yet the lovely town of Malton is right opposite. We really loved everything about it and really commend the management for providing such a great client experience and we would definitely book again.

Stayed for 3 nights over the weekend. Hotel was found via Mr and Mrs Smith so had high expectations. The staff were all very friendly, both front of house, bar and restaurant teams. The hotel decor is lovely and feels very relaxing. The gardens were lovely to sit out in and relax with a coffee or a drink. The room was very large, great aspect and furnished well and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was also good and plentiful. However, overall the room felt a little tired in places - the towels and bathrobes look and feel quite old, the bathroom feels a little grubby around the edges (clean but brown sealants, peeling paint etc). In addition, housekeeping didn’t visit after the first night and when they came the following day they replaced towels but didn’t replace/wash cups, didn’t refill the coffee or remake the bed. Toiletries are own brand but feel quite cheap so recommend to take your own. Overall a nice hotel, but not particularly special and some room for improvement/updating.
