Sindhudurg is given a status of 'Tourism District' by Maharashtra State Govt and the Central Government is developing it as Konkan Riviera.This beautiful area is blessed with astonishing diversity of nature like Amboli hill station which is an evergreen forest that receives the second highest rainfall in India and 128 km long pristine coastline interweaved with 75 sq.km estuarine area.
The region is reckoned for its unique culinary culture embellished by succulent sea food and variety of fruits like world famous Alfanso mango & cashew nuts.
