Manasota Key Resort

Our suite was small for my mother and I, but doable for a few nights. Renovations/recent updates were very nice including the kitchen which had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend getting a bedroom if staying longer, more than 2 people, or even a tall guy with you. The most disappointing thing was that we only had a closet with some hangers to put our clothes. No dresser, shelves, drawers, etc. So what we didn’t hang up just stayed in our suitcases which had to stay on the floor during our whole stay due to lack of space and not even a luggage rack to put them on. The oceanfront rooms are literally right on the sand. Never stayed somewhere so close to the ocean. Beautiful view right from your bed. Beach chairs and towels are available, but no umbrellas esp during turtle season (may-sept). Pools were basic/underwhelming in my opinion. Staff was readily available when we asked for our garbage and dirty towels to be taken out.

From accommodations to food and location. Manasota Key Resort has it all. The rooms are tastefully done and comfy with extraordinary views. The resort provides beach chairs, bikes and a wonderful BBQ area. Plus, the staff (especially at the beach bar) was so friendly!

This resort is beautiful. The location, amenities and views are amazing. You’ll experience great helpful staff. Some of the friendliest people I’ve met. The room was well stocked with all the required necessities to have that home away from home experience. We will definitely be back.

$550.00 per night for a studio, florida's most expensive beach experience. Was a great place and great deal, old florida atmosphere, Now their new web site shows 550 per night for a studio, no thank you, no thaks for the hilton / hyatt / best western remodel, no thanks for the outdoor pool tables and kid corn hole toss, no thanks for tearing the railing out of the cabanas, no thanks for the made in china trinket carts, no thanks for the ten dollar tuna sandwich in the office store, no thanks for the lack of hand rails at beach access steps. They tore the landscape cordgrass out that was holding the dunes in place and you get pelted with sand from the fulf winds, no thanks for the destruction of the dune and all of the insects that comes with the lack of vegetation. No thank you for the million dollar makeover when all you needed was to fix what was broken and not reinvent teh wheel. Just go to your local hilton and you will pay a portion of this new rates and wil most likely have a better time. The state is surrounded with beaches, this once hidden gem that is now just like any other hotel is in the past for us. We will continue to go to pelican cottages in key largo, now that is sitll a hidden gem, it is what this place used to be. They didnt realize what their problem really was and destroyed paradise in the process. Clean and Maintain, that is all that was needed.

This is an old resort. My family has been vacationing here for 38 years. Ten families. 35 to 40 people. We like it in spite of its seediness, rust, deterioration, and mold. It is quiet and the beach is beautiful. The owner has doubled prices now and has made NO improvements. The staff is rude. We will not return for year 39.

First time coming to the Wanna B and we Wanna B back. My husband and I stayed here for the last leg of our week and wished we'd been here all week. Our room was right on the beach, it was clean and stocked with enough pans, utensils, plates etc. to do some light cooking. A/C wasn't too loud, ceiling fans were only thing that could use a good cleaning. There was a TV and DVD player, we did not use either. Bathroom was small but served its purpose, large closet and dresser. Adirondack chairs & table outside of the room. 2 clean pools, beach chairs, kayaks, SUP and bicycles for use which we used daily. The staff was pleasant, helpful and informative. We had a minor issue on our last day there and GM Kris was super attentive to rectify the issue. There are a few restaurants a mile away, there's a shuttle that can be called not sure of the operating times, we walked. Met lots of nice people who tend to rent it for month(s) at a time. We will definitely be back.
