Moore House Bed and Breakfast

Wonderful experience. Tim is a very gracious host with a plethora of knowledge on so many subjects, KSU, antiques, history etc. Adorable home and fabulous breakfast. Tim was very kind to let our college kids join for breakfast. In addition, Tim has been my son’s chapter advisor for a few years and has been a great influence on his college career.

Our recent stay was simply wonderful. The room was elegant and comfortable, and the bathroom was right out of a magazine. The room and bath were separate and private from the rest of the house and just adjacent to the beautifully appointed dining room, which was decorated with beautiful antiques. Our breakfast each day was abundant and satisfying and served by our host, Tim, at whatever time we requested. Each morning it was served on a different set of antique china and silverware complete with candlelight! Tim gave us a tour of the K State campus along with lots of local history and we had such interesting conversations with breakfast. We were able to spend some relaxing moments in the formal garden. A short walk to the heart of Manhattan and K-State campus, and a wonderful host. We would highly recommend a stay at Moore House.

Tim, my host, was beyond gracious and extended a warm welcome and generous hospitality in the historic Moore House. The home is filled with beautiful antiques. Breakfast was a splendid formal start to the day with excellent food served on antique china and crystal stemware. Two candelabra on the table and the beautiful chandelier above the dining table reflected hundreds of points of light in the cozy dining room. The formal garden outside and the easy walk to KState campus made this the ideal location for me. Moore House rates 10/10!

My friend and I were lucky enough to be Tim's guests in his beautiful home. We had an amazing time. The owner of the house is a very nice welcoming person. The house is clean and neat. The location is very convenient. A very cozy and quiet neighborhood. Nearby is K-State university and a street with restaurants (Aggieville). 10/10 on all points. I would say Tim's house is another attraction among others to visit in Manhattan. You can see paintings, cutlery, figurines, and other items from all over the world. For example, we were able to see many souvenirs that Tim purchased on his travels abroad. I was amused by a K-State Russian doll from Moscow. Tim is an educated and interesting person who will always keep a conversation going or tell you an amazing fact from history that you didn't know. In addition, the owner of the house is an amazing cook. The memories of the breakfast we had at the house will stay with me for the rest of my life. We had a very tasty and varied meal. My favorite was the bagel. Mmmm... My only regret is that we didn't get to see Tim's blooming garden because we arrived in March. We would love to see the garden in the summer. I'm sure it looks as awesome as the house. I highly recommend getting to know Tim and his house because it is a very enjoyable experience.
