Dear MakeMyTrip Team,
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with a recent hotel stay in Hotel Solitaire Chandigarh, booked through your platform. The experience was far below acceptable standards and did not align with the amenities and services promised at the time of booking.
Here are the specific issues we faced during our stay:
1. Lack of Basic Amenities: Even something as basic as a water bottle was not provided readily. Despite calling over five times, we received just one bottle after considerable delay.
2. The hotel listing claimed to provide a dental kit, which was not available. When asked, the staff casually responded with, “It’s finished,” showing no intent to resolve the issue.
3. Misleading Information on Complimentary Breakfast: We had confirmed a day prior that breakfast would be served around 7:00 AM as my sister had an exam. However, when my father and sister went at 8:00 AM, not only was the breakfast not ready, but there were also other guests expressing similar concerns. After much insistence, they were provided with just a parantha.
4. Unprofessional and Arrogant Staff: The staff’s behavior was extremely uncooperative and rude, adding to our discomfort.
Due to this disappointing experience, we had no choice but to check out a day early, despite having booked a 2-night stay.
We request a refund for the unused night and urge you to take this matter seriously.Unfortunately, this experience has been anything but satisfactory.
Please initiate the refund process at your earliest convenience. I hope appropriate action will be taken against the property for falsely advertising services.
