Best place to stay in Mantova You could not ask for better host or a nicer place to stay. Breakfast was amazing.

What a wonderful bed and breakfast! Set in an old palace that has been well maintained and updated, this beautiful accommodation is very highly recommended. Claudio gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful - a really lovely host! The room was huge, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom just gorgeous. The breakfast was amazing, with lots of options and even superb sweets made by his lovely mother. Fantastic location within a few minutes walk of everything. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Claudio for a wonderful visit to Mantua!

Palazzo Arrivabene and Mantua were a highlight of our trip, traveling as a multigenerational family. Claudio and his mother Reni are the consummate hosts. The palazzo is beautiful and our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortably appointed. It is central to the sites in Mantua and Claudio offered many recommendations for what to see and where to eat. Breakfast was exquisite with an expansive offering including delicious homemade cakes. Thank you for so warmly welcoming us into your home. We can’t wait to come back. We have traveled all over the world and all agree that Palazzo Arrivabene was truly special. It’s more than just a place to stay, Reni and Claudio welcomed us into their home. We feel privileged to have been their guests.

Absolutely fabulous BnB. Located in a classic baroque 18th century palazzo, the property is stunningly gorgeous replete with ceiling frescoes. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with very comfortable beds, and the location is perfect for visiting the Ducal Palace and the Duomo. Numerous wonderful dining options are nearby as well. But most notable was the warmth and friendliness of the owners. Claudio was the consummate host, even driving us to the train station on our las day. Highly recommend!

To begin Claudio and his mother Signora Luciana are high stature people and their B&B reflects this. She is charming, an absolute delight and he is very resourceful and they both insure you'll have a most pleasant stay. Traveling across smaller towns in Italy for several weeks, this was the highlight! Their place is warm and historically charming, an unforgettable experience. Is there a nicer B&B in Italy? On our recent trip through Italy, staying at the Palazzo Arrivabene far stands out as the best hotel experience, we stayed at! Upon arrival we were overwhelmed with the beauty and elegance of the restored Palazzo of which there are common rooms, and a balcony is which you are invited and encouraged to sit and use on your own. Our room was quiet, comfortable and very clean. The owner, Signora Luciana and her son, Claudio though are the heart of this establishment. Rarely have I been so received with such a warm and elegant welcoming! At breakfast in the morning Signora Luciana herself was present making sure we had everything we needed and even sharing some of her recipes with other guests. Claudio personally made a phone call for me to arrange a meeting with a mutual friend who lives in Mantova. I encourage anyone considering staying here or even making a trip to Mantova to decide to do it and stay at this establishment you will not be disappointed and pleased that you did. A word of warning is that this Palazzo does have some stairs but if possible and you can manage them it is well worth it!
