We felt like we were part of the family in this stunning & gorgeous palazzo. This is a treasure enabling you to experience what it was like to live in a palazzo from years past. Location is perfect, only a couple minutes walk from old town with all the historical sites , restaurants & shops. I can’t imagine a better place to stay while in Mantova.

Palazzo Arrivabene and Mantua were a highlight of our trip, traveling as a multigenerational family. Claudio and his mother Reni are the consummate hosts. The palazzo is beautiful and our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortably appointed. It is central to the sites in Mantua and Claudio offered many recommendations for what to see and where to eat. Breakfast was exquisite with an expansive offering including delicious homemade cakes. Thank you for so warmly welcoming us into your home. We can’t wait to come back. We have traveled all over the world and all agree that Palazzo Arrivabene was truly special. It’s more than just a place to stay, Reni and Claudio welcomed us into their home. We feel privileged to have been their guests.

To begin Claudio and his mother Signora Luciana are high stature people and their B&B reflects this. She is charming, an absolute delight and he is very resourceful and they both insure you'll have a most pleasant stay. Traveling across smaller towns in Italy for several weeks, this was the highlight! Their place is warm and historically charming, an unforgettable experience. Is there a nicer B&B in Italy? On our recent trip through Italy, staying at the Palazzo Arrivabene far stands out as the best hotel experience, we stayed at! Upon arrival we were overwhelmed with the beauty and elegance of the restored Palazzo of which there are common rooms, and a balcony is which you are invited and encouraged to sit and use on your own. Our room was quiet, comfortable and very clean. The owner, Signora Luciana and her son, Claudio though are the heart of this establishment. Rarely have I been so received with such a warm and elegant welcoming! At breakfast in the morning Signora Luciana herself was present making sure we had everything we needed and even sharing some of her recipes with other guests. Claudio personally made a phone call for me to arrange a meeting with a mutual friend who lives in Mantova. I encourage anyone considering staying here or even making a trip to Mantova to decide to do it and stay at this establishment you will not be disappointed and pleased that you did. A word of warning is that this Palazzo does have some stairs but if possible and you can manage them it is well worth it! Two night stay. We are very glad we stayed there and would do it again. Highlights: - location is quite good; 7 minute walk from train station, and 10 minute walk to Palazzo Ducale and busy piazza areas - very friendly and warm welcome; service was great - clean and comfortable stay - free run of the house; we enjoyed sitting in their amazing foyer, living room/library and terrace - our room was up on 3rd floor; no elevator - wifi was a bit spotty at times - breakfast was varied and fresh; the owner’s mother would bake fresh tarts and make zabaglione for breakfast!

The Palazzo Arrivabene is a unique and exceptional property. Staying there felt like living in a grand palace. We were welcomed and treated like friends instead of guests. The interior is gorgeous. In addition to our spacious bedroom, we were able to use the living areas as though they were our own. We can't wait to return.

My wife and I stayed here last Thu and Fri. Everything the most recent reviews said is absolutely correct...a truly beautiful house....an elegant and engaging hostess...great location.The room we stayed in was very well proportioned.Would strongly recommend.

My friend and I stayed 2 nights in this fantastic palazzo. It is only a short walk from the station and also handy for the centre of Mantua too (being only a small city). Luciana and her son Claudio were super hosts and nothing was to much trouble. We had come as part of an art trip and Claudio kindly organised a wonderful guide, Cristina, who took us to Palazzo Te and the Ducale Palace and explained all their history. Thanks all three of you for making our visit to your beautiful city so exciting and interesting.

This wonderful Palazzo built in the 1500's is full of antiquity and charm. Beautiful rooms finely decorated, frescos and old paintings on the walls, and grand staircases. Four levels of stately elegance--extra large rooms beautifully furnished. Bathrooms are modern and function perfectly. WiFi was great but there are no TV's and no elevators, so be prepared to climb a few stairs. Caudio was great and very very helpful, and his gracious mother prepares the beautiful Italian style breakfasts in the lovely old dining room. Located just on the edge of old town and only a short walk to the main square of Muldova. Public parking is convenient and a close walk. You will not regret your stay here!!
