Orng'Atuny Mara King Camp

Initially I liked the lodge! Staff seamed friendly enough but as we were leaving George approached us stating we owed money (we did not) the Safari coordinator Esther had not paid! My daughter arranged this trip as a present for myself and husband and although she had written confirmation from the owner of lodge that we had nothing to pay apart from drinks and tips and that they were expecting Natural World Safaris to pay the booking cost they locked the gate with padlocks until we paid AGAIN on our credit card!! I cannot express enough how scared we were…and to top off the charge was an even $500 which doesn’t match the various rates advertised. There was another couple there leaving at same time and had the same problem when leaving….we have been fighting with the Safari company for a refund but as yet no luck!

Staff was wonderful and the accommodations were great. Felt like we were sleeping under the stars. The food was great as well. I would definitely recommend for an overnight safari.

This campsite was one of the places we stay on our budget safari tour. You shouldn't expect luxury here, but for its category it is a very good place. We were welcomed with a Masai dance, and it was something special. All the staff were very responsive. I would especially like to mention the chef, who was always present during meals and was interested in how we liked the food. We had two rooms on the hill, from this place there was a view of the Masai Mara National Park and in the evening we could watch from the balcony the animals playing in the distance f Access to this place is, I would say off-road, especially during or after rain, 4x4 is not a problem. There is also a pool, although the water was quite cold even for travelers from Northern Europe.

The place has views to die for, the rooms are clean and cosy, the staff is very friendly, especially George the manager... Food is fresh and nicely prepared. They are very thoughtful and give their best... Had a wonderful Christmas. Definitely will go back ..

Off the beaten track, awesome lodge, well recommened, 5 stars to all staff. Very friendly and helpful staff and Manager. They all carry a smile and nothing is ever to much for them to do, they all are outstanding. Rooms have everything you need and a huge comfy bed. Room 1 is luxurious tent and room 2 is stone/brick and Luxurious as the tent. Awesome food. It was nice to have fresh hot food, the lunch box given for game drives is excellent, it kept us going for the day. Thank you to Denis for taking me to the river and teaching me about the elephant food. George your a brilliant manager, keep the good work up.

Thank you George and team for a wonderful stay at Orngatuny Mara King Camp. My boyfriend and I were treated like family here, and we couldn't have asked for better hosts. The food was comforting and so delicious. Everyone was genuinely so nice and caring. I loved listening to the birds in the morning. The accommodation was clean and safe. Thank you so much!
