Club Palm Bay

The location was o my an hour from the airport, along the ocean and placed right in the middle of beautiful mangroves. The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The facilities are meticulously maintained. The food is wonderful. The only drawback is that the promised animations are not always available. However, the ones that were available were facilitated by the staff.

We spent the sinhala new year days in 2025 at this superb hotel. It was our 2nd stay over and we were visiting this hotel since 2000 for different events such as meetings weddings, day outings etc. From the day of making the reservation which was done in mid March, up to our stay, the hotel staff was very supprtive and marvelous. We were checked in /out by Mr.Muneef who was very kind and frienly. The rooms/chalets were well kept and maintained, room services were very quick and efficient. We were given a chalet facing the lagoon which was very calm and could relax well after our busy work schedules we had. Food was excellent and the buffet was full of varieties. The staff was very helpful in spite of their busy scheules due to the heavy number of guests. One main attraction of this hotel is the spacious swimming pool which kept you occupied the whole day.. When talking about the garden and the envirenmnet , it is situted in a marvellous area. It faces both the ocean and the lagoon. You can go all around the hotel premises and to their private beach which is in front of the hotel. The main attraction of the day was the Sinhala Avurudu Celebrations they had on 14th morning. It was full of games, surprises and food. There were many foreign guests enjoying the facilities provided by the hotel and were very happy . I recommend this hotel as it was worth the money spent on this. Wish the staff all good and to continue for many more years.

Club Palm Bay is a very cozy, huge and green hotel (French hotel mostly). The food is various and tasty, special thanks to the very sympathetic chef Upul who was that nice to explain the dishes and the cousine of the region. The service also needs mentioning - Wishwa and Nihara Federico - thank you both for being that welcoming and so organised and helpful. Rooms are very big, cleaned every day, equipped in everything is needed for everyday use. One thing that is worth mentioning is that the main language of the animation is French because animation crew is French and they only talk and entertain people from France that have another colour of bracelets than other guests. Nevertheless the hotel is a beautiful complex with very nice stuff - beginning with kitchen stuff until reception, and is surrounded by green scenery and a huge water pond.
