Hostal the Monkey Room

A great place to stay in the most central area in Marbella. The location is perfect and myself and my sister felt very safe here. The hotel itself is great value for money and had everything we needed for our 2 nights stay including a balcony overlooking the windy streets below. Great place would stay again and lovely sun deck on the top floor. Very cool atmosphere with boho theme throughout

Not very nice accommodation, small, dirty and unattractive. Look elswhere. I left 3 days early due to the state of the room, unhygienic, dirt everywhere. On the second day room wasn't cleaned nor the towels changed. Linen is ingrained and looks off white as where some of the towels.

Well after sending multiple messages via WhatsApp to the owner and being ignored I think it's time to leave a review,I thought it fair to give the owners time to respond to my requests before leaving feedback. I got a late check in on a Thursday so key was left on reception for me which was fine and that's where the positive part of the review ends. Upon entering the room first thing I was hit with was the incredible bad smell,damp and musty smell,the bedding and pillows were damp to the touch,thought I'd pop the aircon on to warn the place through but only cold air so spent the night freezing cold and breathing in damp air just the worst night sleep ever. I know it was cheap but I couldn't actually stay there and had to get up and leave early in the morning (there is far better accommodation locally for same money),nobody on reception to complain to,so only form of contact was WhatsApp,tried emailing and telephoning but just no reply....completely ignored on every front......honestly look elsewhere it appalling.

Julio 23. Nada más darnos la habitación, ir a ducharnos y no había agua caliente. Lo avisamos y salimos a un concierto. No había más habitaciones. Dijo que lo solucionaría mientras. A la vuelta seguía sin haber agua caliente. Por la mañana nos dijo que como nos habíamos ido, él no pudo comprobar la reparación o no. Lo denuncié a Consumo, no colaboró y al año decayó el expediente. Un sinvergüenza.

Les draps n'étaient pas très propres (taches), il n'y a pas de rideaux occultants, on entend les personnes dans le couloirs comme s'ils étaient dans la chambre. la décoration est vieillotte. seul point positif l'hôtel est très bien situé dans la vieille ville

No hay palabras para describir semejante horror, empezando por decir que debería estar clausurado es deprimente la sorpresa nada más llegar al hostal fueron angustiosas impotencia de no poder actuar en ese momento quedamos en shock no podíamos dar crédito a lo que veíamos y nos ofrecían, llegar a la habitación es toda una odisea subir por una escalera tortuosa para volver a quedar shock cuando abrimos la puerta no podíamos dar crédito a lo que estábamos viendo , "una pocilga asquerosa maloliente a humedad falta de limpieza y salubridad". Dormimos vestidos encima la cama por cierto asquerosas al igual que paredes, baño y aseo. La instalación eléctrica imposible describir tercermundista ......... Abandonos la habitación con las primeras horas del amanecer. Esta es la experiencia de nuestra estancia en semejante antro.
