Mardius Tarihi Konak

My sister and I visited Mardius Konak in Mardin for a weekend trip that was added to our Istanbul trip. It was AMAZING, from the Konak to the food and excellent staff. We were lucky to hear the Konak's history from the owner himself. It has such a long and beautiful history. Mardin wouldn’t have been the same without our stay at Mardius! I am already planning a trip next Spring with broader family. Thank you, Mr. Güral and everyone at Mardius!

If you want to experience luxury local accommodation this is the one of the best location. Breakfast is really special.You can find local tastes with stylish service. All hotel and rooms are old Mardin style stone made with luxury boutique style. All hotel team is really very kind and all the time very helpful.They make you feel like you are at home. The access to hotel is 5 minutes walking from main road.But you don’t need to carry your luggages the hotel takes them.Walking to/from hotel gives you the real feeling of ancient Mardin because of the old stone roads and stairs. I would definitely recommend to stay here if you don’t have any problem with walking.

I am Rolan Mardini from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. My stay in the hotel from 29 October till 31 October was a wonderful stay. I felt like I am deep in the history. The building makes you feel that you are in away in the history. The interior, room, service and care that I was experiencing during my three days stay was unforgettable. The owner, management make me feel at home and family with a service and care that were special, unique through out my stay. I encourage every one who visit Mardin to stay in this hotel. How lucky I am that this is a historical mansion that I have stayed in many times over the years. My second home. It offers its guests a unique accommodation experience. In addition to this historical building, you feel like the kings in fairy tales thanks to the hosting of its experienced staff. Its rooms, which are filled with stories, designed based on its 700-year history, provide guests with the opportunity to find peace in the past of Mardin. In addition, The reustorant is full gastronomic stop with its indescribable delicious dishes and service quality. Every minute you spend in this historical mansion, which is easy to reach but difficult to leave, will take you away from the reality of the world and bring you peace in the magnificent view of Mesopotamia.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful mansion and words alone cannot express our experience. A truely unforgettable one. The attention to detail, cleanliness, spotless bathroom, presentation of rooms, delicious cuisine, and the most kindest and considerate staff I have come across in Turkey. Genuine hospitality like we have never experienced before. Our needs were met in every way and beyond, right down to organising a private driver to tour us, taking us to all the places we wanted to visit in our short stay. Honestly there is no way this could have been achieved without your help and effort. I am most greatful for having crossed paths with you all, Mr Mahmut Bey, Mr Servet Bey, Mrs Dilber Hanim and our most attentive Mr Bulent Bey who served us breakfast every morning and made us feel so special as well as the chef and cleaning staff… and heartfelt thanks to Mr Kiasim Bey for driving us and showing us all around Mardin and Midyat. Thank You for everything you all did for us, it was very much appreciated! Our holiday in Turkey this time was 2 months long visiting many different locations and places, all the way from Australia. Mardin however was something else, and really stood out amongst the rest. If you are looking for a historical & culturally rich experience please don’t bypass this place, but especially don’t overlook this mansion. I must add that we dined in the hotel restaurant one evening and the the food was like nothing we have experienced during our times in Turkey. This was definitely on another level. Absolutely delicious, using the finest of products and quality that is truely unsurpassed . After your stay, I can assure you, you will not leave disappointed but feeling overwhelmed by the beauty and charm of this place. I personally was left emotional and humbled by the history of this place, the heartfelt hospitality and the kindness of each and every staff member. Mardius was a magical experience. Excellent service, beautifully designed, delicious breakfast and spectacular views. Thank you to the lovely team that made our stay unforgettable!! We would to visit again in the near future. Highly recommend.
