Pagua Bay House Oceanfront Cabanas

This was an amazing place to stay. Beautiful grounds and very spacious rooms. Loved the wide open bathroom and ability to keep the windows open to hear the ocean sounds. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Food was good. We liked having a rental car to explore the island since there was not much else near by....although close to the airport. If you want beauty and seclusion this place is it.

Pagua Bay is amazing and the food and the staff are all top notch! Alisha the owner is awesome and she will show you the best spots to check out on Dominica. Sheldon the GM is super helpful with anything you need as well. The whole staff is incredible. Thank you guys for making our Honeymoon that much more special!

Only 15 minutes from the airport, this was our first stop on the island. The setting was poolside overlooking the crashing waves of the ocean below. The service was prompt compared to what we experienced at n most of the rest of the island. We just had snacks.. chicken bites and ceviche. The ceviche had good flavor but very little fish in it but overall , a great stop coming or going from the airport.

I love the rooms . Modern minimalistic yet everything you need ! Good shower .. good water pressure hot and cold ! Good quality towels and the beds are amazingly comfortable ….. I would like to spent a few days just to sleep there and hear the sound of PaquaBay Ocean Waves breaking on the Beach across the road !

The perfect place to visit to melt all your stress away. Sheldon/Alicia/Rick were all amazing and made me feel like my work trip was the excursion of a lifetime. Beautiful sunsets, excellent home-made food (some grown right on the property), and luxurious cabanas all at once! This is an ideal getaway for it all: whether you are on business or planning a romantic trip. -Matt

I have to say that we had a really nice time at Pagua Bay House. ******* tried to sell us six nights at a vastly inflated price but we looked again and found that we could do a last-minute booking via WhatsApp direct with the Manager, Sheldon. Nothing could have been simpler, so that was a good start. Then the room we had booked wasn't quite as good as the one next door (No.6 has a private plunge pool and a wonderful view) and we were able to move over immediately. Then it turned out that the staff – absolutely all of them with no exceptions – were personable, smiling, did eye contact and enjoyed conversation (and even a photoshoot or two). The food was excellent and during our stay we pretty much tried everything. If I were to quibble (and I warned Sheldon I would write this) I'd say that if it says fruit is on the menu for breakfast, then there should be fruit, especially on an island like Dominica which is loaded with fruit trees! Not that one excellent member of staff minded coming with me in the car on a Sunday morning fruit hunt to the village... So, yes, book up and go to Pagua Bay!
