Palmetto Cottage is a 1930’s Florida bungalow nestled in a canopy of hundred year old oaks and pines. A wood frame home graced with windows on every wall and lovely natural lighting, original pine flooring and a spacious front porch. Start your day with breakfast on the covered porch overlooking the front yard graciously landscaped with azaleas, sago palms, ferns and a variety of native palmettos. Take a stroll through the historic cemetery located nearby with grave stones dating back to the 1800’s. The place was adorable. Loved the cemetery across the street. Very pretty area on road off the cemetery. Nice walk in the morning. Saw deer and a bunch of cattle.

Tucked away south of Micanopy We stayed in the cottage while attending a UF graduation. It was a pleasure staying away from the congestion of G'ville. Instead, we enjoyed a beautiful drive via 441 right into town, about 15 minutes away. The mattresses were pretty soft - a 2 night max for me, thus the 4 stars. But the cottage was comfortable, we loved sitting on the front porch, enjoying the breeze & the scent of jasmine. The location didn't lend itself to taking walks, but there are nearby options for that.

Not the city Nice little cottage. beds were comfortable and the place is immaculate. the landscaping is a bit out of control as vines and bushes were intruding on the back porch. All in all this place is a great value.

Quaint Cottage Very peaceful, relaxing setting. We used it as a hub to travel to nearby towns and springs. We did need to call the host because we could not get the tv's to work. They did respond and resolve it right away. The only thing that needs attention is that the locks on the jack and jill bathroom do not work.

Relaxing Nice old Florida vibe. The only complaint is the noise from the traffic but it gets quiet at night. It's a really cool old house with great trees and relaxing porch. The hosts are nice.
