I am writing as a loyal and long standing guest of Al Alamein Hotel. My family and I return every year because we have always appreciated the hotel’s beautiful beach, excellent facilities, and until now the consistently high standard of hospitality and service. Unfortunately, I regret to say that our experience this year has been profoundly disappointing. The level of hospitality has deteriorated to an unacceptable degree. The staff, who were once your greatest asset, now appear largely inexperienced, inattentive, and lacking the warm professionalism that made this hotel special. At best, only 20% of the staff deliver service that meets the standards expected from an establishment of this reputation and most of these are members of the older, long-serving staff who still demonstrate genuine hospitality and professionalism. It is clear that the dedication of these few remaining experienced employees is one of the only positive aspects left. To illustrate: on the very first day of our stay, a gardener knocked on our room door asking for a tip something entirely inappropriate and highly unprofessional. In the restaurants, basic service standards are not being met. Many waiters do not know the menu well enough to take orders without calling a supervisor for help. Breakfast, in particular, has been chaotic and poorly managed: I waited for over five minutes at an uncleared table, only to be told by a waiter without any greeting or explanation that another guest had been there first and that I should have joined a waiting list I was never informed about. It is painfully obvious there has been a significant shift in management approach, with cost-cutting visible in every aspect of the operation. This penny-pinching mindset is damaging the hotel’s longstanding reputation and does not align with the rich legacy and historic value of Al Alamein Hotel. I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously. I strongly urge you to prioritize proper staffing, training, and management oversight to restore the quality and gracious hospitality that have always made Al Alamein Hotel worth returning to year after year. If this downward trend continue, I fear you will lose loyal guests who genuinely value what this hotel once stood for and what a few dedicated long-serving staff members still strive to uphold
