Khumbula IAfrica 1

We spent a week in this very relaxing envoronment. It was very clean and Shirley and Zach were on hand to look after us if needed. The dipping was fabulous when the weather got too hot, but we also had rain to cool things down. I LOVED that there were no spiders!

We stayed at Marloth Park from Jan 19-22, 2025. The house was beautiful, Shirley (housekeeper) was amazing, and we had many animal encounters. We visited Kruger, however, thoroughly enjoy walking within Marloth Park… highly recommend!

Need a bit of an upgrade. The couches and beds are very uncomfortable. The place is spacious for a family. Bring blankets if you get a bit cold as the house doesn’t provide blankets. Owner said we have to pay R500 breakage fee but housekeeper said they do not do that anymore so I was a bit confused whether to pay or not. We cleaned after ourselves and house keeper also came on the mornings to clean which was great but we received an email saying we didn’t clean after ourselves and it confused us a lot.

Comfortable house with air condition a must for that part of South Africa. Nice pool and deck where we received a lot of animal visitors. Short walking distance to the fence with the Kruger National Park where we also so a lot of animals. Close to the shops and restaurants

From the moment we arrived we knew this was going to be exceptional. The house Manager met us and was exceptionally helpful. She arranged our Safari excursion for us. Her husband also helped by making our fire for us. The local store was only a couple of miles away. A new thatched house with so much character. I will be visiting South Africa again in March and April 2017 and I reserved two 4 night stays at Khumbula. I'm excited to be going back.

In one year I have been fortunate enough to stay at Khumbula twice. Traveling from Germany this is the ultimate african traquility setting. We were welcomed warmly by the care takes and were given and thorough explanation. Obviously our first thing on the to do list was jump into the pool, sippin on something cold and watching natur around us and no not just tree but Giraffes and Zebras. Literally eating off the trees next to the swimming pool. Only a 10 min drive to Kruger Park. All I can say is do yourself the favour and stay at thos homy tranquil oasis.
