Grand Cettia Hotel

This is not a 5 star hotel!! Don’t book if you require clean rooms, clean bedding, clean towels or somewhere to sit to eat bad food! Don’t book all inclusive! Extremely disappointed in the hotel as a whole, it’s ok if you have very small children, but certainly not over the age of 5! Run down rooms…poor facilities. The staff are trying as hard as they can but they have their hands tied. Kaan on reception thinks he is funny but comes across as rude and dismissive. Had to eat out most days due to poor food options and quality. Would NOT Recommend!! Overall, very sad situation.

I'll start with the good points 1st. Pool was good for the children bit cold but you expect that for the end of may. Very slippery around the pool so swim shoes are a must! Everything is in 1 area we was on first floor and all we had to do is go downstairs and we was in the restaurant and pool area. My children were unwell and the cleaners were good when we needed extra streets Felt very safe around the hotel and surroundings at night. Hairdresser and beauty lady was brilliant Turkish bath was amazing and so relaxing Negatives We arrived at 1am and was told no food Only water in our room. So plan ahead add snacks etc in your case.there is takeaway places outside hotel open till very late. We messaged hotel prior to staying to speak about my son and husbands diatry needs they said they could meet these needs but when we arrived they could not be met. My son wouldn't eat the food apart from pizza and croissants and they could only do these at specific times. After 2 days both my children became very poorly with sickness and diahorea We told the staff and they blamed the excursions (we hadn't been on any) after speaking with a few other people in hotel it became apparent there was alot of people getting ill. Food was cold repetitive and limited. Kids were starving. My son ended up living off pot noodles and husband buying out everyday. We should of gone self catering. It's on a very steep hill so if you have mobility problems this could be an issue. There was a language barrier with the staff Only when we said we had booked to go home a day early they decided they wanted to help us! Room wasn't good for the children either they was expected to share a double bed so if you have teenagers this may be an issue. Alot of local companys told us not to eat the food there! It's something when Turkish people are telling you to avoid! Save your money book elsewhere!

BIG shout out to Yasin, Bee, Coco, Engin and all the crew. Had an absolutely wonderful holiday thanks to all the great staff. Certainly a holiday to remember and will never forget. We will definitely be returning and can't wait. Thanks very much for a great time xxx

Lovely family hotel lots to do for kids we have been twice now the wee hairdressers in hotel is great too shops are literally across the road entertainment for kids are great too overall recommend from us 👌😊😊😊😊👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I dont understand what people like about the hotel . The food is terrible hardly any variety and if your vegetarian or have allergies dont come here you will be left to starve. I would avoid marmaris in general it's more expensive than England I dont understand why.

We were here for a week in May a week too long. When we arrived and taken to our room the air conditioning was not working, it was chilli outside we could open the windows. There was no mattress protectors on the mattresses this just made my skin crawl. There was a sofa bed made up we took it down the first morning we were there I don’t think it was cleaned under it since the day it went in. There was lib balm, hair bobbles and used ear plugs still on the dresser. We went for breakfast the next morning the food was awful thank god for the fried eggs and omelettes out side. The fried eggs were good the omelettes were very greasy. The lunch and dinner was not much better. They had theme nights that we were looking forward to thinking the food would be better. It wasn’t. As the week went on our son who has special needs and normally loves getting away to hotels wanted to go home on the 4th night. The next day our son was very sick with food poisoning as was at least 7 other people and a wee toddler this was just the last straw for us. We were so looking forward to going and couldn’t wait to get home. The staff at the hotel were all amazing nothing was a bother to them they were just working with what they had and everything that we experienced was definately not their fault We went to the Grand Bazzar in Marmaris OMG the people in the shops were so pushy for you to buy something they were nearly pulling you into their shops it made us feel very uncomfortable. My husband and son went for a Turkish shave and haircut which should have been £40 for the 2. They done ear cancelling on them when my husband got the bill it was £70 my husband queried it he was told it was a good price sir a good price. There is that much that happened I just can’t remember it all. My advice is to avoid this hotel like the plague
