Having travelled extensively since Covid-19 throughout both the Mediterranean and Caribbean, I rate hotels based not only on stars…(as I feel those create expectation), but also on helpfulness of staff, atmosphere and value for money, as I believe those are the things that actually matter on a day to day basis during your holiday. At Club Viva I cannot see how anyone could fault any of those areas. The staff are extremely friendly, they don’t look overworked and undervalued, which I have seen in lots of ‘highly starred’ hotels. I believe this lends itself to a happy atmosphere. Particular mention to those that made our own stay wonderful are; Ramalen, Sergio and also Emrah…..aka Jack, who works very hard making sure all the guests are happy, organising pool games and running entertainment. Additionally, management appear to lead from the front rather than sitting away in an office as they were there clearing plates & wiping seats which you don’t often see. Special mention should also go out here to the cleaners as this hotel is very clean. They also smile and speak to you and are happy to try and fulfil any request you have. Overall this hotel is 100% great value for money with superb friendly staff. It’s clean, amenities are good, entertainment is good & food is decent, particularly the fresh cook omelette station so I cannot rate it highly enough. I would definitely recommend. If I was to make suggestions to the hotel it would be a wider choice of food (eggs and pancakes every day not on alternate days) and the option of half board i’e an evening meal as well as breakfast would be good.
