Marmaris Alkan Hotel

Wouldn't recommend this hotel. The bed was like laying on a wooden board with 1 thin rough throw for a cover. there was no water bottles provided in the room, no kettle or tea,coffee facilities. Been in 2 star to 5 star hotels and never come across this before ever. Pool was freezing cold To use the safe deposit they charge you £20 which you don't get back. You're not allowed to bring in water or food from the outside shops, you have to buy it from them. Reception the people who run it can speak English but haven't a clue what you're asking for! (Understand what you're asking for) We were extremely disappointed with the hotel as an expensive pair of trainers went missing and the management basically said that we'd never had them, told him to walk home in his bare feet, my partner had to come back home in flip flops, the only people who went in the room was ourselves and the hotel staff. So I'll leave it at that. Toilet was broken and wouldn't stop running, flush fell out.

Bad start power cut 02.00 and was locked out no generator and glass front doors shut ! Breakfast decent selection and included. Nice and quite suits me , very sad no English news or any programme…rooms dated but functional.. wouldn’t rebook

2nd time here within a year, mainly due to its good location and really good price. Room is basic but clean, loads of tv channels but hardly any in English. Comfy clean bed but with only one light sheet to cover yourself with, fine for me but others might be chill. My room had a small balcony with 2 chairs but no view to speak of. Powerful shower and clean towels every day. Fridge in room was appreciated but was really neither use nor ornament as it really didn’t get very cold, would rather have had a kettle to be honest. Walls are wafer thin and I could hear every word being said in the next room. Breakfast is adequate to good, I found the coffee really good and there were fried & hard boiled eggs, bread for toasting, cheese, cucumber, tomato mushrooms, and plenty of fresh quartered oranges among other things. I could always find something to eat. The pool is a decent size but freezing cold with a decent amount of sunbeds. Pool boy was very friendly and helpful.. Unfortunately the hotel did have some noisy & mildly unruly guests which made it hard to relax by the pool while I was there but management did try to keep them in check. I guess that’s the trade off with it being so affordable. All in all a good stay and I would return.

Daughter and I stayed for 11 nights. Hotel and staff couldn't have been better. We hadn't paid to stay at the Savoy, but we're extremely pleased with our stay. Quiet and relaxed, enough choice of food at breakfast. Desk managers, Figen (beautiful lady) and Turan were polite and very helpful with local information. Hotel is in a good location in quite a busy part of the town, bus to the centre or local towns stops at the door. Beautiful supermarket is 2 minutes walk away. Unless we decide to go more upmarket would definitely stay again. Thanks.

hotel alkan ok under new managment hope they reburfish the place now problem was the rip off prices that were being charged was unreal food outside dining was disgusting just ripping people off getting to greedy now think twice before we go back again.

This hotel is a real delight. Lovely staff and every part of the hotel is clean. The beds and towels are changed daily. Nothing is too much for any member of the hotel staff, they are all approachable and very friendly. The breakfast is a Turkish continental style. I’m a picky eater and always find something to have. The rooms are a good size. The pool area is lovely as always and has a very relaxing feel. This has been our fourth visit to this hotel, and yet again it didn’t disappoint. We hope we can make it a fifth stay next year. I would like to thank every member of the staff at the Alkan, for making our stay as enjoyable as always.
