Riad Dar Bayane

We had a fantastic time at this riad. It is in a great location within the medina. Super clean and an oasis in the bustle of Marrakesh.

I had made a reservation for this hotel through a 3rd party site but never received a confirmation. Unfortunately my Dad passed 2 weeks ago forcing me to cancel my travel plans. Without a travel confirmation I was unable to cancel. Yet the hotel notified me of my upcoming arrival. I requested a copy and verification of booking at least twice and never received it. They did respond saying they could not cancel my reservation.

From the moment of arrival, Moustapha and the other members of staff were very welcoming. We were kindly greeted with mint tea and Moroccan cake whilst we waited for our room to be prepared (we arrived at 10am). The riad is the perfect mix of authentic and modern, lined with tiles, comfortable seating and a peaceful atmosphere you will be grateful for in order to escape the bustling streets of Marrakesh. The rooms and communal areas are immaculate and the rooftop beds the perfect place to chill on an afternoon. There’s also a small pool on the ground floor for cooling down when the heat becomes too much. The breakfast is excellent with a mixture of traditional Moroccan breads, omelette, fruit and salad accompanied by mint tea and freshly squeezed orange juice. The perfect start for busy days! Moustapha could not have done anymore prior to arrival and whilst we were there. He helped arrange return transfers from the airport and was a fountain of local knowledge with guidance on navigating the streets of Marrakesh. If you are considering staying here then I urge you to book as you will not be disappointed!!!

Only stayed one night. We were well received by an informal check in process. The reception area had an almost living room feel. The check in & checkout process had an informal but professional feel. Like other hotels in Marrakech there was a centrally located pool area & the rooms are situated around the pool area. Our room was very nice mid range well appointed type. We only chose this hotel because we wanted to extend our stay in Marrakech but our other hotel was sold out. This property was a great alternative. Had I found this place first I don’t think I would’ve booked another stay anywhere else. The breakfast that was included was a meal fit for a king Morocco knows how to do hospitality. If I were to return to Marrakech I’d definitely stay here again.

This riad- just wow. As soon as we walked in the door we were welcomed by Moustapha who gave us some great recommendations for the city and we were provided some Moroccan tea. Our room was large, clean, modern and bright. The bathroom was lovely and we wanted to take the sink home with us- couldn’t recommend this place more. The breakfast was served on the balcony and you get a wide variety of fresh fruit, pastries, bread, honey and dipping jams, tea, coffee etc. The aesthetic of the riad and location are 10000/10. You’re minutes walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I’d love to come back and will recommend to anyone.

The stay at Dar Bayane will definitely not be the last. The Riad is very centeret in the Medina so it is very easy to get to the different locations. Moustapha gave us the best welcome to Marrakech and made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. That also included taxa to and from the airport. The rooms were very nice and CLEAN. All in All 10/10 and would definitely recommend. Nadia and Kristine!
