Riad Jibril

Vi valde denna Riad på rekommendation av vår son som stannade två dagar den 23 november, tyvärr var vår upplevelse en besvikelse på flera nivåer: 1- Ingen indikation på att komma till rätt adress, inte ens på dörren till bostaden, vi förlorade mycket tid på att hitta Riaden med att veta att vi hade vårt bagage och att vi var i ett tillstånd av extrem trötthet efter en lång resa. 2- När vi kom runt 17.00 var det ingen i receptionen. Vi fick vänta länge och ringa flera gånger för att hitta någon. 3 - Vi erbjöds ett rum på bottenvåningen som bara kunde vara ett ombyggt förråd med ett fönster som vetter mot en gemensam utomhuslounge, så ingen integritet. Vi blev nekade att byta rum under förevändning att alla andra var upptagna, det tog långa diskussioner för att kunna ha ytterligare ett rum på första våningen vilket inte var bättre eftersom dess fönster har utsikt över rummet mittemot. 4 - Renligheten var inte upp till standarden, våta handdukar, igensatt dusch, kackerlackor cirkulerade i badrummet och i sovrummet. 5- Vi bad om frukost dagen innan eftersom vi flög tidigt nästa dag, vi fick en bricka med några koppar honungsostsylt, en kartong juice har redan börjat, denna måltid ledde oss till flygplatsapoteket för att köpa en mot diarré!

We had the pleasure of staying at Riad Jibril during our visit to Marrakech, and what a delightful experience it was! Our host, Iheb, truly deserves the title of a legend. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, he made our stay memorable. Whilr it may not be a 5-star hotel, it provided a unique and authentic Moroccan experience that exceeded our expectations. The riad itself, with its traditional architecture, was clean and inviting. The highlight was undoubtedly the serene terrace, a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the medina. One evening, we indulged in sheesha on the terrace, a delightful experience that only cost us around 70 MAD. We also had the pleasure of dining on the terrace, where we enjoyed delicious tagines at a very reasonable price of 60 MAD each. The chef's culinary skills were truly impressive. The breakfast served each morning was traditional and homely too! What made our stay truly special was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by Iheb and the staff. We arrived as guests but left feeling like friends. We were even befriended by the two adorable resident kittens, Sofia, the long-haired tabby, and Leena, the ginger kitten. Their presence added an extra touch of charm to our stay. The location of Riad Jibril was perfect, and the camel in front of the money exchange served as an excellent landmark. The riad was on the opposite alleyway, second door, making it easy to find. We especially enjoyed its proximity to Kasbah, near Zeitun Cafe, a favorite spot of ours to visit at night. The lantern-lit terrace at the cafe provided majestic views that made our evenings even more memorable.

Vi flyttades faktiskt till Riad Jibril på grund av ett "elproblem" med ett annat hotell som vi skulle bo på. Även om hotellet har fått 3 stjärnor, är det i verkligheten mycket mindre än så. WiFi var opålitligt, TV:n fungerade inte, frukosten var fruktansvärd, sängarna var gjorda av träpallar och det fanns kackerlackor och läckande luftkonditionering. Om du vill ha upplevelsen av att bo i en riad finns det många andra där ute som har fått 3 stjärnor som är mycket bättre än den här. Jag misstänker att detta hotell också används som en bluff och jag skulle råda att styra klart om detta hotell visas på någon semesterwebbplats.

I stayed here after trekking in the atlas mountains Muhammad couldn't have been more helpful cant thank him enough the riad is extremely well placed for all marrakech has to offer is clean the wifi was excellent room cleaned everyday breakfast up till 10:00

We visited for a week with family last week. When we arrived we were greeted by ihab and daoud the first thing they said was welcome please make this your home would you like anything? They showed us to the room. Breakfast is great and very fast Air conditioning worked fantastic so did the WiFi . The room was cleaned every single morning with fresh towels. The roof terrace at night is just amazing with comfy seating. Now the best bits for us was there staff working there were just so nice and was amazing with our children. They even went out to buy my little boy a birthday cake absolutely out this world. The Riad is located in a lovely busy street with bbqs cooking and tagines the smell is amazing. A fantastic shop selling everything next door and a 10 minute fantastic walk to the busy main square . We are going to book the same again next month because it was so relaxing and just like home to home. 10/10 keep up the amazing work to all the staff at Riad

The hotel is basic without a pool however it is very clean and well kept and the hotel owner iheb is very friendly and helpful. He printed our boarding passes for us after forgetting to print them ourselves. Its also a 10 minute walk to the main markets and lots of food options surrounding the hotel. Would return here for how cheap it is. Happy with our experience thankyou

We spend 5 nights in Riad Jibril, abd we were very happy and we will come back. Nice place at 5mn walk from the square, staff very frendly, not à 5* hôtel but à clean and beautiful guest house. They organise airport transfert & all kinds of excursions. Thank you ihab & your staff. Alex
