Palais Mehdi

Le palais est à 15-20 min de la médina car il y a beaucoup de circulation. Le hall d entrée est très jolie mais il faut vite regarder, beaucoup de vétusté ! Nous avions la suite santal ça laisse à désirer la salle de bain est médiocre car les joints sont à refaire cela manque beaucoup de fraîcheur c est dommage car au final vous retenez que la piscine qui est vraiment agréable au calme.il y a un beau potentiel mais cela est trop vétuste

The garden and pool are wonderful, hotel employees try their best, the property was probably very nice when built about 30 or 40 years ago but now shows age and serious lack of maintenance. Roaches and ants in the rooms, bathrooms very old. While the grounds are great I would not return to this hotel. I went for the cheap rate and I got what I paid for.

Where to start… first, the pictures as well as the majority of good reviews are very very outdated. The hotel requires some serious renovation, it’s literally falling apart: the furniture is shabby, tv doesn’t work, towels are dirty, birds’ droppings are all over the pool area, gym equipment is from the 90s. The food in the restaurant is uneatable (apart from the breakfast, it was basic but good). The worst thing about it is that the reception actually only works from 9am-7pm, so if your check out is outside of this frame- the receptionist will call you multiple times asking you to come pay the day before. Isn’t a 24h reception a basic for a 5 star hotel? We also asked for a breakfast basket since we had to leave the hotel 30 min before the breakfast starts (8am) which is a very standard practice. The receptionist lady (hello, Sofia) was extremely rude, her answer was « MADAME, as I said, the breakfast starts at 8, there is nobody to give you food before ». This hotel is the furthest from 5 stars that I’ve ever experienced in my life and I travel very frequently. The receptionist’s attitude is appalling, they will also offer you to get a « touristic taxi » which charges 20 eur for every trip to centre Marrakesh (don’t do it, just use the apps and pay 5-10 eur instead). There are a lot of good hotels in Marrakesh, please stay elsewhere.

Wonderful place and staff, professional but relaxed, Authentic, luxurious, stylish, intimate offering privacy and sharing. Exceeded 5 star expectations due to the real ‘soul‘ and ‘heart’ of the people and the place….As well as the stunning architecture, art, Devore and gardens. A unique experience one does not encounter often. A hidden gem close but outside of the city madness, that we have to highly Recomend, catch it whilst you can.
