Riad Nafis

Yazz the owner knows how to impress, along with his exceptional staff. They arranged a chauffeur service to and from the airport, and had a meal prepared on arrival. The Riad/ hotel, is different to anything I have stayed in before. The room was beyond expectations and very comfortable, with a huge bath, no tv, (which I thought was a nice touch), and was cleaned and bed refreshed daily. The breakfast was outstanding! With plenty of genuine advice from Yazz and Hammid, I explored the hustle and bustle of the city. But I always came back to the outside terrace on the top floor to relax. It has to be the best terrace in the area. Just totally relaxing, with great views over the city and mountains. Nifas is located next to the Palace and I felt really safe, especially around the nearby Mosque. It's a happy place and really enjoyed my time there. With only a few rooms at the hotel, it didn't feel too busy. I will be back soon, to try out the pool.

Really terrific. Small, 5-bedroom, quiet, delightful hotel with charming service. Great breakfasts. Nice rooftop terrace. Air-conditioning. Highly recommended. Much appreciation to Yassin the owner and Hamid and all the staff (and apologies if I've misspelt names): thank you for a great visit.

I am going to start my review at the near end of our delightful stay here. My husband, myself and our 2 friends who were also staying here were on way back on Friday night when the earthquake hit. Thankfully we were just at the main entry and managed to get away from the walls of the Kings House. We walked to the park but after a short while we headed back to find Abdul looking for us and other guests. Abdul is a young man who dealt with this terrifying situation with a maturity beyond his years. He went and got us all blankets, made sure we had water, and bought some chocolate bars for us. Having Abdul with us was of course a blessing as he could talk with the palace guards and was able to let us know when we could go back into the Riad, which was about 6 hours later. The following day which was our last, Abdul went and got food that the lovely Amina made into the most delicious Chicken Tagine. Yazin, the owner also checked in with us, as did Hamid. Our whole experience at Riad Nafis was one of belonging to a wonderful family, we can't thank them all enough for being so kind to us all when they were obviously worried about family and friends of their own. The Moroccan people are some of the most generous and welcoming people and our thoughts and hearts are with them. Thankyou, Yazin, Hamid, Amina, and our hero Abdul. xxx Una & Lawrie

Just returned from a weeks stay at Riad Nafis and we are so happy we stayed there. The Riad itself is beautiful with lovely traditional rooms, a pool and a roof terrace that you can sun bathe on with a few sun beds, tables and a lovely outdoor seating area you can enjoy the sunset on. Our room was really comfortable with a nice bed, huge bath tub and traditional Moroccan style that made us feel like we were having an authentic stay in Marrakech. The rooms come with a free and easy to use safe for all your valuables and it felt extremely safe at all times! There was also great air con and wifi. The rooms were serviced daily and were extremely clean. Service wise was outstanding the host Yazin was extremely helpful, warm, welcoming and friendly and made you feel part of the family and that you were staying in a home from home. Nothing was too much trouble, he arranged our airport taxis, as well as booked dinner for us, other guests had arranged tours and excursions by him and I wish we did that instead of the group ones we had booked else where. His knowledge of Marrakech was amazing and he was always happy to help. He gave us his number on the first day and was happy for us to text or call at any time. Even the night before we left, very late we realised we needed our boarding passes printing and this was not too much trouble. All of the people who worked there were so helpful and friendly. They also serve meals on request which smelt amazing and would feel like you’re having your on private dining experience. A good Breakfast is served fresh every morning and they will accommodate different times if you need it earlier! The location of the riad also feels very safe walking to and from, with it being so close to security guards for the nearby palace. It is a 10 minute walk from the main square and close to most tourist attractions! We really loved our stay and are so pleased we chose to stay here over a big chain hotel. Value for money is amazing and felt like we had a proper authentic stay. We would not hesitate to return here in future.

Nafis Riad is amazing, I go often to Marrakesh and always stay there. The staff is amazing, helpful, worried and dedicated. They always try to accommodate you the best way possible and feel at home. I have stayed at Nafis many times, it’s my home in Marrakesh, thanks to Amina, Hamid, and Yassin. Stunning rooms, everything super clean, great breakfasts, and food. Location could not be better, very safe, just outside the Kings palace, in the Medina. Congratulations Nafis staff, keep up the good work!

We have just returned from 6 days staying at this delightful Riad. Right from the moment I booked (via ***********) Yazin went out of his way to be helpful by offering to organise an airport transfer, which we were relieved to have accepted as it would have been tricky to find it under our own steam. Despite this it is in an excellent location close to the Royal Palace and Koutoubia Mosque and within easy walking distance of the rest of the medina. Riad Nafis is small, very comfortable, cosy and stylish and we were very well looked after by Yazin’s assistant, Hamid, for whom nothing was too much trouble. The food at breakfast was plentiful and fresh and there was no problem asking for it to be served early to accommodate our travel plans. Yazin organised 2 trips for us- first to the Atlas Mountains, which included a short camel ride and a lovely lunch served at a riverside restaurant in a Berber village, followed by a 2 hour walk up to the nearby waterfalls and back. En route we stopped at a herbal garden/Argan oil co-operative for a tour by an extremely knowledgeable guide and later at an old Berber farmhouse. Our other day trip was to the coastal town of Essaouira- a 2 1/2 hour drive through varied and fascinating landscapes and rural villages. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the fishing harbour where we chose from the latest catch and watched it being cooked. Thank you Yazin and Hamid for making us so welcome and looking after us so well. We can’t recommend this place highly enough!
