Riad & Spa Bahia Salam

We had a lovely two-night stay at this riad. The location is perfect ... just outside the busy medina and within walking distance to the famous Jemaa El Fna square. It's a busy street, with the noise traffic did not reach our room ... which was lovely. A nicely appointed suite with fireplace, day beds and, comfy draped kind-sized bed. A mini-frig with cold water was much appreciated as well. We had dinner at the rooftop terrace and were pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was also on the roof, but, thankfully in a warm room off to the side. Service couldn't have been more attentive and personal ... especially when we needed directions and recommendations. Definitely recommend!

A well located Riad within easy walking distance of Jemaa el-Fnaa and most of the attractions of the Medina. Our suite was comfortable with a large double and single or lounger and on the central landing. We stayed three nights and took full advantage of the large rooftop terrace and pool. The restaurant is also on top and breakfast generous and well presented. Downsides are no lifts and hollowness in which sound is amplified of all arrivals/departures - especially late night and early morning! All staff were pleasant and helpful but we also avoided the spa which looked dull and hardly used.

beautiful hotel! And the restaurant has incredible cuisine! Best restaurant in Morocco! Both the main course and dessert were wonderful! Apart from the excellent service provided by the staff. I recommend it to anyone who goes to Morocco and wants to have a different experience.

Very nice hotel. The rooms have a traditional look, but are modern inside. The only negative thing is that it was quite hot in the hotel and the climate system didn't help a lot. In general the look of the hotel is beautiful and oriental. Overall breakfast was alright, but nothing special. The pool area is quite relaxing. We really liked the service of this riad. Especially Mouhsine helped us a lot and made our stay in this riad much better. He's a very kind and dedicated person in his job. With it's location near the Bahia palace and the souk Jemaa el-Fnaa, it's a top notch hotel for visiting the old town of Marrakesh.

Stayed here in Dec 2023 with family. This was our longest stay during the recent trip to Morocco…3 nights. The location is well placed at the edge of the Medina, about a 700m walk from the famed Djemaa Al Fnaa. The positive is that your bags can get delivered straight to the doorstep without any issues or transfer. One can also walk all over town and to the main sights very easily. At the same time, the hotel vibe is still small hotel and homely, with very typical Moroccan tiles, earthy colors and thick stucco covered walls. And the loud sounds fade away when one steps inside the hotel. Our room though on the smaller side was very comfortable and very stylish…a lovely introduction to Morocco. The only complaint I have is the lack of power points to charge our electricals…we had to unplug lights whenever that was needed. The rooftop area and restaurant are very pleasant, and have a direct view of the Koutoubia Mosque (also a short walk). The food was surprisingly good, and I must commend the cook for the lovely Moroccan meal we had there. The breakfasts were decent, if a bit standard. Overall, a very respectable stay and I would recommend basing yourself here while in Marrakesh.

Lovely well located Riad on the outer wall / road of tge Medina, but still close to the square. The room we had was appropriate to the locale well appointed and everything one needs. Dates and nuts and rise petals- lovely. Had room 119 which lacked the ability to open a shutter to admit natural licht, doable but messy. The Hammam- at the Riad. did it together, leave your modestly at the door and enjoy the unique experience. Paper undies and all! It was an experience! Just do it! The attendants work bloody hard to look after you.
