La Ferme Medina

We stayed for 3 nights, afterwhich we stayed at a pre booked 4 star all inclusive hotel. Honestly, La Ferme was so much better and we wished that we stayed here for our entire duration! Pros: - Delicious healthy breakfast is included each morning. They also cater for vegans - Room is huge and decorated beautifully. It felt like I was home - The bed was very sturdy and pillows were super comfortable - Hot water with good water pressure - Amazing bathtub, actually big enough for 2 people - Peaceful tropical vibe - Nice toiletries provided - Safe, central location! There is a vegan / veggie restaurant right opposite, and Jemaa El Fna is 5 minute walk away - Extremely clean - Mint tea was 25 MAD (approx £2) and really fresh and well made - Air Con looked brand new, it was great at both heating and cooling the room - Moulay (owner) was very responsive through chat messaging - We downloaded the inDrive taxi app, and were able to get really cheap rates from La Ferme to everywhere else Cons: - We checked their listing for other rooms in Airbnb and it stated that iron and ironing board is included in ALL rooms. However, when we asked staff, they said they can't provide this and someone can iron our clothes if wished. - TV is not smart TV, it has android player app on there but unfortunately app was not compatible with our phone. We asked staff how we can access netflix and they said netflix is not available. I would suggest to bring a firestick - There isn't a room service phone in the room, so had to come out of bed each morning to request breakfast at the reception - Our room was on the ground floor and its not sound proofed, can hear everything from outside, from early morning to late night - Hot water kept changing temperature depending on whether someone else is using it too - There wasn't any "Do not disturb" signs available. This would have been handy as we didn't want our room to be cleaned everyday - Mattress was a quite firm, but I think this is typical in Morocco - WiFi connection is quite poor, kept dropping every couple of minutes Overall we would stay again.

The place was beautiful and the atmosphere was really nice with live music. The food was good, but the best feature was the waiter Ayoub. He made the experience much better and he was all around very nice guy. He poured tea from such distances it was unbelievable. Would recommend and ask Ayoub to be your waiter.

Top place to eat. The food we had was excellent and the service and attention from ASMA made our visit even more enjoyable. A super member of staff - speaking perfect English. Great place, a lovely calm oasis in this busy, hot city.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was so very special. Amazing value too and in such a great location! Probably the best service we’ve experienced throughout all of our time in Morocco. The rooms were great with a lovely little balcony to retreat on to. The food here was delicious, especially dinner. The staff could have not been more attentive - such a great team!! highly recommend staying here, we felt very looked after and had a wonderful time.

We stayed at Riad La Ferme Medina Sept. 25th – Oct. 2nd 2022. The total cost for the week was just a little over $500 US before local taxes. This was our first visit to Marrakech and if we ever go back this is where we will stay. This is a Fantastic Property in a convenient location right in the center of the Medina. It has a very good, reasonably priced restaurant on site that is open all day and breakfast was included with our stay. I took a photo of the menu and will include it with my pictures. The entire property is a perfect blend of the old and the new. The rooms were very clean and gave you a feeling of old Morocco but with modern amenities. The entry door and windows in the room can be opened to the courtyard for an open-air feeling. The courtyard is like a rainforest with many plants and water features and is where we had our meals. Some people preferred to have their breakfast on the terrace outside of their room and the staff gladly delivered. We got to know the owner and most of the staff during our stay. They are all so friendly and helpful in every way. We had a unique problem with a luggage mix up at the airport. We don’t speak their language and our cell phones were very limited but the staff at La Ferme did all they could to help us get through it. When it was time to leave they arranged a car to take us to the airport and just added it to our hotel charges. No matter what we needed they would do everything possible to accommodate us… and did it with a smile.

This was our first post-COVID trip. Riad la Ferme Medina is a welcoming and tranquil place to stay . the manager Rashid , greeted us with big smiles and lots of helpful advice on our first night and throughout our stay, He made us feel so welcome and happily Everything was very well organised during our stay, from the transfer to the airport to the daily restaurant reservations, helped us with everything we asked for . There were always staff on hand to help with any requests too. We stayed in one of the rooms with a private balcony and enjoyed our morning tea and coffee overlooking the courtyard watching the little birds hop about. I would definitely go back.
