Hotel discreto. Da rimodernare . Ristorante chiuso. Colazione sufficiente. Ottimo prezzo come 5 stelle anche se ne dimostrava 4 .

The surroundings may not be grand but the extensive gardens and pool suggest a grandeur of a previous era. The room and ensuite were well appointed and the buffet breakfast was excellent. The in-house restaurant served good food and there is a mega grocery store up the street behind the hotel.

Very co.fortable property. Older style but modernised enough. Bathrooms have all amenities. Fridge and TV no kettle. In house restaurant a bit pricey. Pool with I voting surrounds. About 25 mins walk from old city. On wTerfront but not an attractive location. Plenty of of street parking g. Some roo.s have view of building yard. Those to front better.

Slept here for only one night during our tour in Sicily but would have liked to stay a few more days in this hotel. We found that it was a beautiful place, nice, clean and beautiful furbished...it felt like a palace. Good bed and very quiet at night, had a good sleep here. Staf was friendly and polite, diner was good as was the breakfast, although there were much more sweet items then savory ones, typical Italian. Very good coffee made by the barista on duty. Why not 5*...because there were no coffee/tea facilities in the room and the prices of the minibar are too expensive.

The new five-star Grand Hotel Palace is the ideal place for a vacation in a refined and luxurious Italian-Sicilian spirit. The hotel is in baroque and renaissance luxury of decadence style. The staff at the hotel are professional and simply dedicated to their guests from all over the world, from Denmark to the United States of America. The most delicious Italian wines and the best Marsali espresso coffee are served here. Breakfast at the hotel is buffet style. From Italian savory to the most delicious sweet specialties. Bartender Giovanni Lo Cascio is professional and diligent, he was at our service every second. The outdoor swimming pool in particular adorns the oasis of the old Palace Hotel. The water is warm and clean. At the pool there is a beautiful garden for aperitif services and a restaurant (food and meals). Be sure to try Gambere and a sandwich with tuna, salad and a special tomato. A white wine that smells like fresh lemon perfume, it's great. The service inside the hotel goes to the signature for the room. So everything is made easy for you. You don't have to carry personal documents and money, or bank cards and wonder if you'll ever lose them. Room are amazing and luxury. We will come back to this wonderful hotel again. Marsala is a historical place that you will enjoy to the maximum. You can visit the Marakaibo beach with an agreement at the hotel reception, which will organize a transfer for you within 15 minutes from and to the hotel with a 30% discount on sunbeds and umbrellas. The management of the hotel would be wise to refer to Grand Hotel Palace as 4 stars instead of 5 stars from now on. That would be more in balance with the service provided. From a 5 star hotel you expect the staff to go above and beyond to make your stay an unforgettable one. At Grand Hotel Palace this is definitely not the case. In advance we had read in the description that there was a swimming pool with pool service, there was also a well-regarded restaurant and a number of bicycles were available so that you did not have to walk all the way to the center of Marsala. On arrival we were told that the restaurant was closed and no, we could also forget about a snack by the pool or in the room. If we wanted a drink by the pool we had to bring it ourselves from the bar. To top it all off, the bicycles also turned out to have been "stolen", so we could forget about those too. Well, there you are, at the counter of a so-called 5 star hotel and even if those bicycles were really stolen, then as a 5 star hotel you would move heaven and earth to ensure that replacement bicycles (borrowed from a local bicycle dealer) where available the same day and no, they couldn't help us with renting a bike from a local rental company either. As said: 4 stars at most.

The hotel is very authentic interior as well as exterior. Very big clean room also in old style, it is just a fairy tale, it is if you are going back in time. We have had a dinner in the restaurant in the middle of the garden. It is incredible so beautiful, the bar and the restaurant are still in old style, the high ceiling was a great painting. The food was also very good, enough parking places. The hotel is situated on front of the sea and has a great swimming pool and garden. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The hotel faces the sea but the position is very poor as you have to walk a long way past derelict buildings along a road that is mostly without a pavement for about a mile into the town. Our room was Ok but very old-fashioned and certainly not five star. Drinks were left out to buy but who would pay 40 euros for a bottle of wine and 10 euros for a small tub of peanuts?! There is a pool but no bar service and,when we eventually found someone to get drinks, we were charged 8 euros for a small bottle of Moretti. We also had to pay 2.5 euros for the use of a pool towel! Breakfast was strange with lots of cakes and sweet pastries although there was also fruit and yogurts. The hotel is large and faded and could be so much better.
